1+1 media will fight ageism in Ukraine and launches the project "People of Ideas+. #forgetoldtime"

1+1 media initiated the launch of a large-scale social campaign "People of Ideas+. #забутипровик", which aims to destroy stereotypes that age matters and that people of advanced age are not capable of generating powerful ideas, starting their own business and mastering new skills.

On May 21, the UNIAN press center hosted a presentation of a new social project initiated by 1+1 media , “People of Ideas+ . # forgetage". The prerequisite for launching the campaign was a survey conducted by the research agency Info Sapiens on behalf of the media holding . His results testify to the existence of an established stereotype that the flowering of creative thinking occurs before the age of 40. Almost two-thirds of respondents believe that there is such an age when it is too late to change professions, master a new specialty or start a new project or business, on average it is 50-56 years old. The most conservative was the older audience - almost 70% of respondents over the age of 50 believe that after a certain age it is too late to start new projects (in the broadest sense). "In addition to age discrimination by employers, which, unfortunately, still takes place in our society, Ukrainians, due to many reasons, have lost (or never found) faith in themselves and their ideas. We, as a company of People of Ideas, know how to motivate and take on the mission of helping society become more tolerant, and Ukrainians of the age with the "+" mark - not to be afraid to dream, make plans and realize the most ambitious goals", comments Svitlana Paveletska , director of marketing communications 1+1 media .

The project will consist of several stages: the launch of a special course of the internship program "People of Ideas+" for the elderly, a cycle of motivating stories and expert interviews, special projects with partners and a conference with the participation of well-known speakers and trainers.

"Our main task is to show people who have lost hope in themselves an alternative option, as well as to introduce them to the peculiarities of the television business. That is why we are launching a special course of the 1+1 media internship program "Closer to TV", within the framework of which we will invite candidates with a certain background to try their hand at our team. We have selected vacancies in departments where they will be most comfortable and interesting in terms of challenges and tasks. For example, it will be possible to compete for a trainee position at TSN . ua , a corporate social responsibility group, to try their hand at the promotional department and at "Breakfast with 1+1" - Larisa Brouver , HR director of 1+1 media .

The cycle of motivating stories and photo reports, realized in collaboration with the famous Kyiv photographer Victoria Kvitka, will introduce Ukrainians to real People of Ideas+, who have a powerful history and prove by their own example that age is not an obstacle on the way to achieving goals, and the year of birth is not plays no role in the process of achieving success.

"As part of the project, we interviewed more than 30 heroes, most of whom are known to everyone. These are representatives of cinematography, journalism, music, business, sports, etc. Some of them started doing their life's work after 60, while others decided on their field of activity at an early age. In addition, part of the project participants are employees of 1+1 media, who have been working in the company for a long time, stood near its origins and were impressed by the results of their work.
