The 1+1 media team is implementing a large-scale national special project "Life in the occupation: media bridge with TOT"

Stories from the occupied cities resonate with the Ukrainian audience

On January 23, the 1+1 media group, with the support of the "Smart Angel" charitable organization, launched a large-scale special project "Life in the occupation: media bridge with TOT". The project brings together the stories of people who experienced the realities of life in the temporary occupation of the Russian Federation. So, every week on the air of TSN, "Breakfast with 1+1" and on Digital sites, thematic stories related to this important topic are released.

Thanks to the project, people from the territories controlled by Ukraine not only learn about the current situation in the towns and villages temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, but also express their support for their compatriots.

"Pain, fear, tears and death - all this has to be experienced by ordinary Ukrainians who are stuck in the occupied cities and villages. They need support and faith in a bright tomorrow, so the "Life in the Occupation" project is aimed at exactly that. We are convinced that very soon the whole of Ukraine will be freed from the enemy, but we also understand how many more difficult stories will be heard... Therefore, empathizing, giving hope and uniting is what every Ukrainian needs," commented the authors of the project .

The first plot tells the story of Olga Leontieva, a local resident of Melitopol. She miraculously left the city after three months of hiding from the Russians. For her patriotic stance, she was constantly harassed and even appropriated her apartment with all her personal belongings. Currently, she maintains contact with her compatriots and continues to believe in the deoccupation of her home.

As part of the "Edyny Novyny" marathon, the stories and the inclusion of TSN on the topic of Ukrainian education and how it survives in the conditions of occupation find a great response. Teachers, heads of educational institutions share terrible memories of resistance to the occupiers, as well as the realities of teaching young people today , and such stories receive many comments with words of support and understanding. At the same time, the residents of the occupied cities feel that they are not alone, that they are heard and supported by people from all over the country who are bravely fighting for the return of Ukrainian lands.

In the broadcasts of the morning program "Breakfast with 1+1", the heroes tell stories about how they resist and survive the occupation . Even under such extremely difficult conditions, the majority of Ukrainians believe that very soon they will be able to return to a peaceful life without Russian terrorists.

One of the many tragic stories from Sumy Oblast about those who did not give up after the occupation, especially Shmek. It began with the words: "If not us, then who?". From the first day of the Great War, Olena and Anatoliy Vereshchagy drove bread from Sumy to the occupied villages by car, while their shop was a night shelter for Russians. But one day their car was shot, as a result of which the man died, and the woman, despite numerous injuries, continued their case.

Stories about leaders of local communities and volunteers who continue to be active despite intimidation and occupation resonate with viewers . Yes, they share the horrors they have experienced in the occupation and talk about the current situation in these areas.
