"We will repeat history. 7 years ago at the Venice Film Festival, the film "Winter on Fire" began its journey. And today, September 7, at 2:15 p.m. (SET), "Freedom in Fire" will begin its journey from here. It is very important to tell this story, to reach hearts. Yesterday there was a preview of the film and today there are already many references to it in the media. A conversation begins. So for me, as someone who tells stories through film, it's very important. The world forgets that there is a war going on. It is very important for me to remind about this, about this struggle. So that the world would hear and stand on the side of Ukraine. To stop this insanity, to stop this war ," said film director Yevgen Afineevskyi on the "Breakfast with 1+1" broadcast.

In turn, correspondent Nataliya Nagorna shared the story of Anna Zaytseva - an incredibly brave girl who survived Azovstal, saved her son Sviatyk and her parents, but her husband Kyrylo is still in captivity.

"We are here with Ukrainian flags in our hands to say that freedom is our greatest value. This is important for every Ukrainian. The movie was made in an unrealistically short time frame. I will only see the tape today. But I am sure that this film should move the hall for 2300 people. Because this is a documentary about our struggle. We take with us the most important things - dignity, confidence in the need to fight and our flags. Keep your fingers crossed for us," Nataliya Nagorna shared her emotions .

The project "Freedom on Fire" is a sequel to the film "Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Struggle for Freedom", which premiered on October 9, 2015 on the Netflix platform. In addition, in 2016, the film was nominated for the "Oscar" award in the "Best Documentary Feature Film" category. The project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and in collaboration with 1+1 media.
