Doc Kyiv Fest: Programme and schedule of the industry section announced

From 28 to 30 March, Doc Kyiv Fest, the festival of medium-length documentary films, will host a professional section Doc Kyiv Industry for film industry representatives.

Over the course of three days, film professionals will take part in panel discussions, masterclasses, lectures and project pitching.

All panel discussions and lectures will be held in the format of online meetings, and accredited participants will receive links to them on 25 March. The pitching will take place live at the Planeta Kino cinema (Blockbuster Entertainment Centre, 34B Stepan Bandera Avenue).

All online meetings will be available in both Ukrainian and English. Project pitching will be held in English.

28 March

13:00 - 14:00 - Online case study: "Workflow in international co-production". Speaker - Eric Holland, CEO of DIM, producer, composer, post-production supervisor.

16:00 - 17:00 - Online discussion: "Supporting documentary films". 

Moderated by Yana Goncharenko, Director of Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development at Starlight Media. Speakers: Serhiy Zlenko, National Representative of Ukraine at Eurimages; Mykola Ulyanov, Head of the EU Creative Europe Programme Office in Ukraine.

29 March

17:00 - 18:00 - Online lecture: "Trends in documentary film programming. The case study of 20 Days in Mariupol. Speaker - Georgi Chakarov, President & CEO of CEETV.

18:00 - 19:30 - Online discussion: "Documentary cinema is a new trend: what documentaries are streaming platforms and TV channels interested in?"
Moderated by Anastasia Steinhaus, Managing Director of ICTV, ICTV2, Starlight Doc.

Doc Kyiv Fest, a global hub for audience documentary films, will open on 28-30 March at the Planeta Kino cinema.

The annual international festival of medium-length audience documentaries Doc Kyiv Fest was founded by the NGO KinoFest and is organised in cooperation with StarlightMedia and the Odesa International Film Festival.
