The jury of the International Competition of the 15th Odesa International Film Festival has been announced
The jury consisted of Maciek Chamela (Poland), Anna Rosa de Sousa (Portugal), and Iryna Ostrovska (Ukraine).
Maciek Chamela
is a Polish film and radio director and producer. His debut feature documentary From Where to Where was nominated for an Oscar, had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, and won top prizes at Sheffield DocFest, Zurich Film Festival, Hamburg FilmFest, and the Best Documentary Award at the 14th OIFF. Maciek is also the co-director of the short documentary Be Well, which won the Doc Alliance Award at Cannes Docs. He has produced films such as Persuasion, The Seagrass Pickers and Parquet. In 2018, he received a Silver Melchior for his documentary podcast series Plan B.
Ana Rosa de Sousa
The Portuguese actress and director studied at the London Film School, where she directed her first short fiction films and documentaries. In 2020-2021, her debut feature film Listen premiered at several international film festivals, including Busan, Raindance, and the Santa Barbara Film Festival, and won the Lion of the Future Award and the Special Mention in the Horizons Jury at the 77th Venice International Film Festival.
Iryna Ostrovska
Ukrainian actress, member of the Ukrainian Film Academy, nominated for the Golden Jig award for her debut role in Antonio Lukic's My Thoughts Are Quiet. She has 24 acting credits in her portfolio, including collaborations with director Kristina Tinkevich in How is Katya?, Croatian director Dalibor Matanich in Zlomovchanchan, Viktor Priduvalov and Serhiy Zhadan in the music video Rika, and others. She played the lead role in Taras Dron's feature film The House Behind the Glass, which had its world premiere at the Warsaw International Film Festival.
This year's Odesa International Film Festival will take place in Kyiv from 12 to 20 July.
