The new animation project will tell the story of Ukrainian cities that suffered during the Russian war in Ukraine. In particular, the fascinating 5-minute episodes will feature historical monuments in the context of modern reality, creating a parallel between the heroic past and the present. In the first part of each episode, the main characters travel around the cities, helping kids to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Ukrainian history and feel the heroism of the past. In the second part, the realities of the damage done to Ukrainian cities and cultural monuments are shown in an easy and accessible form for children, avoiding sensitive images.

It should be noted that the animated series was created in 2D, using the computer translation technique in the Toon Boom harmony programme. According to the project's creators, the use of 2D animation made it possible to make talking about difficult things less painful and even therapeutic, which is an important point when creating content for a children's audience.

The project "Ukraine. Unconquered Cities" is intended for children aged 6 to 12, as well as for parents, teachers and anyone who wants to teach the younger generation to appreciate cultural heritage and remember the history of Ukraine. Moreover, the animation should be interesting and informative for foreign viewers as well, as it tells about Ukraine's contribution to the cultural and scientific heritage of the world, as well as the heroic resistance of Ukrainians during the war with Russia.

"Creating animated series even before the great war was a challenge, especially if you need to respond quickly to changes and broadcast event content. After all, the development of animated series is a very long process that consists of many stages. However, with our extensive experience in this niche, the PLUSPLUS team and I try to respond quickly to audience requests and offer relevant and necessary content in today's realities. "Ukraine. Unconquered Cities" is just such a project that tells about the heroism of Ukrainian cities in this war, about cultural heritage and traditions, and how important it is to preserve all this for future generations. Our mission as a TV channel has been transformed over these difficult years and a half, so telling children about the war, finding the right words and tools, is one of our important tasks before and after the Victory," comments Ivanna Naida, General Producer of PLUSPLUS.
