1+1 Media signed a memorandum of cooperation with TRO Media
On October 1, Ukraine's Defenders' Day, 1+1 Media signed a memorandum of cooperation with the communications department of the Territorial Defense Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (TRO Media).
The cooperation will involve the implementation and promotion of measures to protect the interests of military personnel, veterans, and their families, as well as a series of information campaigns and joint participation in thematic forums. It also aims to strengthen and highlight the work of one of the projects of the Communications Department of the Territorial Defense Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — the Veterans' Theater.
On the day of the signing, Oleksiy Dmytrashkivsky, head of the communications department of the Territorial Defense Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Andriy Onopriyenko, a veteran and actor, visited the studio of the national marathon "Yedyni Novyny" (Unified News).
"Our TRO Media unit is unique in that it includes actors, directors, cameramen, and playwrights with combat experience. During one of the meetings, my comrades and I talked about the rehabilitation of soldiers who had returned from the front. That's how the idea came about to create a space for veterans where current and former military personnel could perform plays. To date, we have successfully conducted two educational and therapeutic courses at the Veterans' Theater, with project participants working alongside and being taught by some of the best Ukrainian directors, playwrights, and other cultural figures. As a result, thanks to this project, about 50 plays have been written and staged on various stages. Each of them is a story experienced by a veteran! Veterans must be heard. After all, the biggest trigger for them is society's indifference to their stories and experiences. And each of them has something to say," said Oleksiy Dmytrashkivsky.
"The Veterans' Theater allows its participants to return to civilian life after their experiences on the front lines," Andriy Onopriyenko noted during the broadcast.
"In times of full-scale war, systematic interaction with veterans becomes even more important. Our task as the media is not only to inform, but also to create platforms for military personnel so that their stories are heard and their experiences become the basis for change in society. That is why cooperation with TRO Media and support for their Veterans' Theater project is essential to us," said Olha Musiyko, HR Director at 1+1 Media.
The Veterans' Theater is a project that allows veterans and their families to share their experiences through theater productions, find support, and engage in art therapy. Audiences have a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their stories.
