1+1 media and StarLightMedia initiated the creation of a video about an alternative to analog broadcasting

"StarLightMedia" and "1+1 media" groups initiated an information campaign that will help the population switch from analog broadcasting to other types of television signal reception.

The first step of the campaign was a jointly created social video where, in a creative and fan-like way, they remind about the approaching disconnection of analog broadcasting. In the video, viewers are informed about the possible ways to watch TV and are offered to choose between digital, satellite, cable or Internet TV. The main message of social advertising: "Television is changing - change with it."

1+1 media and StarLightMedia consider it necessary to start turning off analog as an appropriate and logical step in 2018. According to the "Geneva 2006" international agreement, Ukraine had to turn off analog broadcasting in 2015, but the beginning of fulfilling its conditions was possible only if the population was really ready and the state confirmed that it was technically possible to do so. However, today, in order for the plan to completely abandon analog broadcasting not to lead to the creation of households not covered by a television signal and not to leave a part of the population without access to national channels, the viewer needs to understand the existing alternatives.

"For a long time, Ukrainian TV channels advertised digital broadcasting as the only alternative to analog broadcasting. Now we want to show viewers that there is also cable, satellite and Internet television," comments Fedir Grechaninov, Director of Strategic Development of StarLightMedia.

"Our main task is to show the viewer the right way to make the technological transition to digital broadcasting as convenient and painless as possible," comments Andrii Malchevskyi, director of the distribution and development department of the 1+1 media broadcasting network.

Social advertising about an alternative to analog broadcasting will be in wide rotation on TV channels 1+1, 2+2, TET, STB, Novy Kanal, ICTV, on the websites and social networks of media groups. The video will also be available on a specially created YouTube channel , which will cover the topic of turning off analog broadcasting.
