«Running for language»: 1+1 media and Kyivstar TV will join the race of the All-Ukrainian Movement «Yedyni» (United)

On the eve of Independence Day, the All-Ukrainian Movement «Yedyni» is organizing a race to express support for Ukrainians who cannot speak their native language due to threat to life and safety, as well as those who are afraid of judgment, mistakes, and think that it is too late to learn Ukrainian.

Traditionally, «Running for language» is supported by 1+1 media as a general media partner. Also this year, the film and television platform Kyivstar TV will act as an information partner.

«For the second year in a row, we are participating in the “Running for language” race as part of our large-scale “Add Ukrainian” communication campaign, because for us, Ukrainian identity is a priority topic. Together with the workers and TV presenters, we will run different distances, supporting Ukrainians who continue to resist in the temporarily occupied territories, and once again demonstrating to the aggressor that Ukrainian was, is and will be», – commented Yana Liakhovych, head of corporate communications at 1+1 media.

Marketing director of Kyivstar TV Viktoriya Maksymchuk added that it is important for the film and television platform to support such an initiative because the popularization of the Ukrainian language is more timely than ever.

«We are working not only on replenishing our video library with Ukrainian tapes and increasing the number of Ukrainian-language dubbing but also participating in events that draw attention to the issue of the Ukrainian language. The All-Ukrainian Movement “Yedyni” is doing a great job and Kyivstar TV wants to support them in this», – said Viktoriya Maksymchuk, marketing director of Kyivstar TV.

You can join the «Running for language» race on August 18 in Kyiv at VDNG, or from August 18 to 24 anywhere in the world.

«Language brings us home, unites us wherever we are. We should not forget about such a powerful tool of our struggle. With this race, we want to emphasize our unity and support Ukrainians who are under occupation. By supporting others, we also support ourselves – both morally and physically», – Natalka Fedechko, head and co-founder of the All-Ukrainian Movement «Yedyni», said.
