"Running for the language": 1+1 media group joins the race organised by the All-Ukrainian Movement "United"
1+1 media Group became the media partner of the event as part of its large-scale communication campaign "Plus Ukrainian".
On the Independence Day of Ukraine, 24 August, the United All-Ukrainian Movement will hold a charity race to support Ukrainians who are currently under temporary occupation and cannot speak their native language under fear of death.
On the day of the event, the media group's employees will also run different distances.
"We did not hesitate to become media partners of the Run for the Language charity race. Just like the all-Ukrainian movement "United", we are making efforts to promote the Ukrainian language and culture, as well as to inspire and support those who are in particular need of it," commented 1+1 media.
1+1 Ukraine TV channel host Marichka Padalko, who has repeatedly participated in various races, including the 42-kilometre Boston Marathon, will become the campaign's ambassador.
"Sport helps us to stay strong and maintain our strength to resist. And through a big event like the Run for the Language charity race, we want to support the residents of the de-occupied territories in their desire to switch to Ukrainian. As well as those Ukrainians who still live in the territories temporarily occupied by Russia and for whom even a word spoken in their native language can cost their lives!" said Marichka Padalko, host of 1+1 Ukraine TV channel.
The event will be hosted by sports journalist and commentator, host of the morning show "Breakfast. Weekend" morning show Igor Tsyganik. The location is Kyiv, VDNH Urban Park. The organisers note that anyone from anywhere in the world can join the race. To do this, you need to choose online
