Charity telethon Save Ukraine — #StopWar: what will be collected for on May 29

For three months now, the entire civilized world has witnessed the terrible war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. From the first days of the full-scale offensive, the enemy has been committing illegal actions on Ukrainian lands, trying to erase Ukraine from the world map. Thousands of military and civilian Ukrainians suffer from constant rocket attacks, shelling, and the use of weapons prohibited by international law, including women, children, people of respectable age.

In order to help the victims and once again draw the world's attention to the dramatic events taking place in Ukraine, the teams of 1+1 media, Atlas festival, Suspilne, Kyivstar, football club Dynamo Kyiv, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are implementing the second international charity telethon Save Ukraine — #StopWar .

In just a few days, on May 29, Kyiv Day, in the capitals of Ukraine and Germany, famous Ukrainian and foreign artists, politicians, actors, public figures will gather together to call on the whole planet to rally around Ukraine and help those who are in dire need. Thus, the purpose of the telethon is to collect funds for the purchase of medical equipment for health care institutions that provide assistance to wounded and injured civilians and military personnel as a result of the Russian war .

"Today we see how the world supports us, and this support gives our doctors the strength to fight even harder for the life and health of every Ukrainian. We are grateful to everyone who cares about the fate of Ukraine and makes a significant contribution to our joint victory over racism. The opportunity to purchase expensive medical equipment, such as S-arch surgical X-ray machines, will allow hospitals near the war zone to save and operate on even more wounded Ukrainians ," says Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko .

The collection of funds will take place through the global fundraising platform UNITED24, and all donations will be automatically transferred to the NBU accounts registered with the Ministry of Health.

It is planned to purchase S-arch surgical X-ray machines for 12 regions located near the hostilities and also involved in providing medical aid to the wounded and injured:

Kharkiv region – for 2 institutions;

Dnipropetrovsk region – for 2 institutions;

Zaporizhzhia region – for 2 institutions;

Poltava region - for 2 institutions;

Odesa region – for 2 institutions;

Kyiv region – for 2 institutions;

Kyiv - for 2 establishments;

Chernihiv region – for 1 institution;

Sumy region - for 1 institution;

Mykolayiv region – for 1 institution;

Cherkasy region - for 1 institution;

Kirovohrad region - for 1 institution.

The cost of one unit of such equipment is from 100,000 euros.

On May 29 at 21:00 (20:00 CET) Save Ukraine — #StopWar will be a continuation of the most massive telethon in the history of Ukrainian television, which for the first time, on March 27, united about 80 million people around the world and with joint efforts helped raise more than 40 million hryvnias to solve the most acute humanitarian problems caused by the Russian war in Ukraine. In particular, this amount was used to purchase medicines and medical preparations, food products, hygiene products for internally displaced persons and people in areas of active hostilities, primarily from vulnerable categories, people with disabilities. Funds were also directed to the evacuation of the civilian population from "hot spots" (Kharkiv, Sumy, and Donetsk regions) and to the arrangement of accommodation for displaced people, including evacuated children.
