Fantastic Emotions and Unreal Struggle, or What Was Remembered "Who is First? Autumn"
The warm and bright weekend was spent together with the "Who's First. Autumn" family competition, which took place on September 21-22 in the capital's "River Mall" shopping center.
The Run Ukraine company, together with the Department of Youth and Sports of the KMDA, is organizing such an event for children aged 7 to 14 and their parents for the third time.
The "Who's First" competition is free and brought together 1,240 participants in the online stage, from which almost 300 children from different parts of Ukraine made it to the finals. The highlight of this event and the main task of the participants is a course of various obstacles: handrails, rings, ropes and a ramp. With each subsequent round, the young athletes had to overcome more and more difficult obstacles, and the fight for the title of the first became more and more fierce.
"We are very happy that with each stage of the competition 'Who is first' is becoming more and more popular and attracts the attention of not only children, but also their parents. Our goal is to show that sports can be not only about victories, but also about support, team spirit and family. This time we once again proved that sports can unite people, giving unforgettable emotions and motivation for new achievements," said the director of marketing and communications of Run Ukraine, Viktoriya Veremienko.
The winners of the previous stages proved themselves again. Daryna Goch and Artem Shibaev won for the second time in the age category of 9-10 years. Elizaveta Pecherska and Margarita Petrenko also climbed to the top step of the podium for the second time, who won in the 7-8 and 11-12 years categories, respectively. The real drama unfolded among the 11-12-year-old boys, where the two-time winner of "Who's First" Pavlo Shevchenko lost in the quarterfinals to Stas Filatov, who became the champion. Dmytro Gozhenko triumphed among the youngest boys aged 7-8. Efimchuk Kateryna and Artem Fominskyi won the championship in the oldest category of 13-14 years old. Artem also won "Who's First" in 2023. It is worth noting that the semi-finalists of the summer stage received a direct ticket to the playoffs of the autumn competition.
One of the participant's parents shared his impressions: "Many thanks to the organizers and all partners for organizing such a wonderful, sports family competition for children and parents. It's just an incredible two days! A sea of joy and positivity!"
In addition to individual races, real team spirit was demonstrated by the participants of the Family Relay, where the "Fastest" team consisting of Vyacheslav and Ilya Korotky won. "We are very pleased with the victory. This is a cool and picturesque location. I liked the obstacles and the fact that they were constantly changing. The final course was moderately difficult. And the opponents were cool and strong", commented Vyacheslav Korotky on the victory.
In the team relay, victories were won by "Ninja Academy Kids 1" in the category of 7-10 years and "SLS" among athletes of 11-14 years.
There were also interesting activities in the starting town. The partners of the event prepared a lot of entertainment: bracelet weaving, soap bubbles, drawing workshops from TAS Life, trampolines from funattic and a test drive of Volvo cars on the roof of the "River Mall" shopping center.
So, "Who's first. Autumn" gave the participants not only sports achievements, but also a lot of positive emotions and unforgettable impressions.
