
Ukrainian Strongman Federation: Sports competitions for veterans and military will be held in Kyiv
The Strongman Federation of Ukraine invites media representatives to the sports and health event "KYIV UNBREAKABLE", which will be held in Kyiv on May 3, 2025 (from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). For security reasons, the specific venue of the event will be announced in a personal message additionally (2 days before the event).
Already traditional competitions for veterans and military personnel, which have been held annually since 2019 by the NGO "Strongman Federation of Ukraine" and the department of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration).
The main goal of the competition is to further strengthen the patriotic spirit in society by involving military personnel, war veterans and persons discharged from military service, law enforcement officers who suffered injuries, wounds or illnesses during or as a result of their duties in a combat zone, as well as active military personnel and representatives of law enforcement agencies in sports.
Participants will compete in 6 adaptive sports disciplines: bench press, rowing on the "Concept-2" simulator, kettlebell snatch, air bike, strongman/invastrong. Participants are divided into groups of injuries and nosologies, that is, all participants will compete under equal fair conditions.
More than 500 participants from different regions of Ukraine are expected.
The following categories of citizens will participate in the competition: war veterans, active military personnel, representatives of law enforcement agencies and cadets, as well as fans.

Leonid Tymchenko - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine; Yulia Khan - Director of the Department of the Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration); Vasyl Virastyuk - Honorary President of the Strongman Federation of Ukraine; Serhiy Konyushok - President of the Strongman Federation of Ukraine.
Organizers: NGO "Strongman Federation of Ukraine", Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and Department of the Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration). At the initiative of the People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksiy Leonov and with the assistance of the national distributor "Optima Pharm" - the general partner of the event. The general partner of the 2025 competition season is TC "Bukovel". The main media partner of the competition: 1+1 media in conjunction with the UNIAN news agency and the 2+2 TV channel.

Schedule:
09:00 – 11:00 – registration of participants;
11:30 – opening ceremony, welcome remarks, National Anthem of Ukraine;
11:45 – bench press competition;
12:00 – strongman/invastrong competition;
13:30 – rowing competition on a simulator;
15:00 – kettlebell snatch competition;
16:30 – air bike competition;
18:00 – award ceremony;
19:00 – dinner for competition participants.
Nosology groups of participants:
R0 - mild injury of one arm (mild injuries of both arms) - without limitation of functionality;
R1 - amputation or severe injury of one arm (mild injuries of both arms);
R2 - amputation or severe injury of both arms, affecting the functionality of the limbs;
N0 - mild injury of one leg (mild injuries of both legs) - without limitation of movement;
N1 - amputation (below the knee) or severe injury of one leg (limitation of movement on the legs);
N1.1 - amputation (above the knee) of one leg;
N2 - amputation or severe injury of both legs (limitation of movement on the legs);
N2.2. - amputation or severe injury of both legs above the knee;
S1 - loss of vision by more than 80%;
W0 - spinal injuries that affect walking;
W1 - wheelchair athlete or spinal injury related to movement;
H1 - practically healthy athletes with minor injuries and wounds;
H2 - athletes without amputations and severe injuries, but with significant damage to internal organs.
