
LINOLEUM Animation Festival Announces Winners of 12th Edition
Awards Go to Mykyta Lyskov and Stas Santimov, Ukrainian Debutantes and World-Recognized Animated Films
The LINOLEUM Festival of Contemporary Animation and Media Arts, the largest screening of original animation in Ukraine, announced the winners of the competition programs. The PLUSPLUS TV channel and the Kyivstar TV film and television platform became the media partners of the event.
The festival's laureates were determined by an international jury in three categories - international, commercial and Ukrainian competition. For the first time, the jury of the Ukrainian Film Critics Union worked at the festival this year.
In the commercial competition, among 29 works, the jury selected:
- Special award from Ignas Meilunas - "Dirty Dog 2025 - Promo 3", directed by Mykyta Lyskov
- Special award from Francesca Colombara - "Dirty Dog 2025 - Promo 2", directed by Stas Santimov
- Special award from Marie Yanko - ECHT! - Highed, directed by Simone Breeveld
- Jury Grand Prize — Nap Eyes — Dark Mystery Enigma Bird, directed by Jordan Minkoff
In the international competition, among 32 films from different countries around the world, the jury selected:
- Special mention from Jakub Spevak — “Mother’s Child”, directed by Naomi Noir (Netherlands)
- Special mention from Balazs Thurai — “Lychinkovo”, directed by Alice Bloomfield (Great Britain)
- Special mention from Anastasia Falileeva — “Detlev”, directed by Ferdinand Erhardt (Germany)
- Jury Grand Prize — “God is Unobtrusive”, directed by Jocelyn Charles (France)
- Jury Award from the Union of Film Critics of Ukraine — “Without a Voice”, directed by Samuel Pittet (Switzerland)
The jury of the Ukrainian competition included Amos Geva, Yulia Kovalenko and Vesela Dancheva, who awarded:
- Special Jury Award — “Courage”, directed by Alina Milkina
- Grand Jury Award — “Life Somewhere in Between”, directed by Iryna Litvynova
- Award from the Jury of the Union of Film Critics of Ukraine — “Little Red Riding Hood”, directed by Sofia Komarova
Iryna Litvynova also received special prizes for her film – a Wacom Intuos Pro S tablet from the festival partner LINOLEUM, the company “Novella” (official Wacom distributor in Ukraine) and a certificate for UAH 30,000 from the Karandash studio.
All awarded Ukrainian films received prizes from the festival partners - a certificate for books from the ArtHuss publishing house, access to the Kreativna Praktika and Projector libraries, and refreshments from the alcoholic partner Tullamore D.E.W.
In total, the festival was visited by 2,300 spectators, 35 animation screenings for adults and children and 32 educational events, from large networking events to workshops and master classes with brands and leading industry professionals, including Amos Gevoy, who held the T-Port Workshop for Ukrainian animators with the support of the Goethe-Institut in Ukraine.
