GET Business Festival unites Ukrainian business for development during war

On December 12, GET Business Festival brought together the experience of over 100 business leaders who discussed development strategies, innovations and partnership programs on three stages.

1,400 participants joined intensive training and networking at UNIT.City.

The festival was hosted by top presenters from 1+1 Ukraine, 1+1 Marathon, 2+2 and TET, the main stage was hosted by Yuriy Gorbunov and Ruslan Sharipov, the Business Cases stage was hosted by Maksym Sukhenko and Kateryna Nesterenko. The Marketing Strategies stage was hosted by Nikita Dobrynin and Iryna Prokofiev.

The event began with an open interview on stage with Danylo Getmantsev, Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy. He answered the most pressing questions of entrepreneurs regarding taxes and shared achievements in de-shadowing the economy.

An important discussion on the possibilities of European integration was held by Olena Shulyak, Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on State Power and Chairman of the Servant of the People Party, Vitaliy Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Yevhen Zaihrayev, Member of the Board of PrivatBank for Corporate Business and SMEs, and Igor Liski, Founder of EFI Group. The moderator was Natalia Mykolska, Executive Director of Diia.City United.

Igor Syrovatko, Operations Director of OLX Ukraine and Central Asia, a business coach, spoke about promising niches for starting a business, and Pavlo Matiyash, CEO of Activitis and the online service eDilo, explained how payment by installments changes the rules of the game for business.

A panel on artificial intelligence moderated by Tetyana Sherman, Head of Marketing and Communications at DTEK Academy, attracted considerable attention. The discussion was attended by Oleksandr Krakovetsky, CEO DevRain, CTO DonorUA, Volodymyr Krasotin, Director of Digital Transformation of the pharmaceutical company Liderna, Andriy Zheleznyak, Director of Big Data of Kyivstar, Dmytro Samolyuk, Head of Digital of the TV channels My-Ukraine and My-Ukraine+, and Olga Kronda, Head of the Innovation Development Department of the IP Office.

The effectiveness of partner programs was discussed under the moderation of Serhiy Kost, Marketing Director of Bolt in Central, Eastern Europe and Asia: Yevhen Yanovich, actor, host of the show "20:23", Olga Divushchak, marketing specialist Foundation Coffee Roasters, Co-founder Paint digital Agency, Kateryna Zhurakivska, Marketing Director of BFK Gulliver, Anton Bokyi, Chief Marketing Officer INTERTOP Ukraine, and Alena Horkovenko, Marketing Team Manager, OLX Ukraine and CA.

Social business projects during the war were discussed by: Yana Lyakhovych, Head of Corporate and Integrated Communications Department, 1+1 Media, Olena Osypchuk, PR Director, SOCAR Energy Ukraine, Valeria Tatarchuk, Founder of the TVOA OPORA Foundation, Masha Pronina, Head of Marketing of the ECO MARKET Supermarket Chain, Oleksandra Gayvoronska, Director of the Development and Partnerships Department, Come Back Alive, Oleksandra Kovtunenko, CSR Communications Manager, Kyivstar. Moderator: Yulia Sotska, Head of PR, Come Back Alive Foundation.

Taras Matsypura, Vice President for Marketing, PJSC Carlsberg Ukraine, emphasized that social responsibility is becoming not just a duty, but a real competitive advantage.

The challenges of the energy industry were discussed by: Olga Rybachuk, Managing Director, Elementum Energy, Oleksandr Klepalov, Acting CEO at Atmosfera, Volodymyr Peregudov, Senior Coordinator of the GIZ Project, Oleksandr Kisilyov, Advisor to the General Director of JSC "Energy Company of Ukraine", Tetyana Kornienko, Director of the Small and Medium Business Department of Ukrgasbank, and Igor Tynny, Owner of IVT Group.

Vyacheslav Polinovsky, CEO of the GoITeens online academy, presented a successful case study of creating an EdTech product, and Lydia Bilas, founder of the WOW Corporation educational project network, revealed the importance of dreams in business.

Viktor Ivanchenko, Head of Strategy & R&D Megapolis, analyzed OOH market trends. Max Nefyodov, Director of Innovative Solutions at the Kyiv School of Economics, shared a comprehensive strategy for state support for SMEs.

The panel dedicated to finance was attended by: Andriy Semchenko, Corporate Business Director of INGO Insurance Company, Iryna Starominska, CEO of Universal Bank, Kateryna Rozhkova, First Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, and Tetyana Tymchenko, CFO of Nova Poshta.
