Global Teacher Prize Ukraine and Tokarev Foundation will recognize the best STEM teacher
The National Award Global Teacher Prize Ukraine in partnership with the Tokarev Foundation announces the launch of a nomination for teachers of STEM disciplines.
The winner will receive 287 thousand hryvnias to realize their own educational dream. The award for outstanding teachers has been organized for the 9th year in a row by Osvitoria - a public association that has been developing education and supporting teachers in Ukraine for over 10 years.
The nomination “STEM Teacher” is aimed at recognizing teachers who teach physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, astronomy, mathematics and other STEM subjects. The Tokarev Foundation believes that they are the ones who shape the future of Ukraine, inspiring students to research, innovation and technological development.
The support of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine for the Tokarev Foundation is a logical continuation of their mission — to invest in quality education and create opportunities for a successful future for Ukraine. The award has already become a symbol of recognition for teachers who change the lives of students and society as a whole.
“In a world where uncertainty has become the new norm, STEM education is not just about science, but about the ability to think systematically, make decisions, and adapt to change. That is why the Tokarev Foundation implements projects at the intersection of technology and education — in particular, SET University, the launch of STEM laboratories in frontline communities, as well as support for the STEM is FEM initiative. But none of these projects would make sense without teachers — those who help young people transform knowledge into confidence and opportunities every day,” said Serhiy Tokarev, founder of the Tokarev Foundation.
Any teacher can apply for the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine until July 1. Anyone can also nominate teachers for the award on the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine website at 2025.globalteacherprize.org.ua. The main winner will receive a reward of 1 million hryvnias for the implementation of their own educational project, and the partners of the award will recognize teachers in several nominations.
The Global Teacher Prize Ukraine is organized by Osvitoria with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Diya.Osvita, Mriya, the IT company Soft Serve, the Tokarev foundation, KSE Foundation, Talents for Ukraine, EdPro, Grade Education center, Accord Group and the Educational Initiatives Foundation. 1+1 media acts as the general media partner, the film and television platform Kyivstar TV and Public Broadcasting provide information support.
