Public Union "Joint Regulatory Body in the Field of Audiovisual Media Services" Invites New Members, Announces the Vacancy of the Director and Recruitment to Expert Councils

The board of the public union "Organization of Joint Regulation in the Field of Audiovisual Media Services" announces the opening of admission to the union for new members, the recruitment of experts and the vacancy of a director. We will remind that the union was created to implement the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Media" in order to develop a system of joint regulation of the media market.

One of the primary tasks of the union is the development of codes (rules) that will determine the requirements for the dissemination of information, the content of which is regulated by legislation. For this purpose, competitive selection for the expert councils of the union was announced.

In addition, the vacancy "Director of the joint regulatory body in the field of audiovisual media" is open. In his position, the director as the head of the union will perform the functions of operational management of current and organizational activities, and will also actively participate together with the expert working group in the process of creating codes that will determine the activities of the media sphere of Ukraine.

 

The joint regulatory body is a new important element of the media regulation system, which, according to the law, is designed to ensure the participation of audiovisual media in determining the requirements for the content of the information they distribute, as well as to prevent censorship and abuse of freedom of speech.

Acceptance of applications to join the union continues. All licensees and registrants working in the field of audiovisual media services, as well as public associations and business associations, can apply for admission. This is reported on the website of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Union members have the right to actively participate in the activities of the organization, in particular:

Participation in General Meetings and voting on key decisions.

Election and nomination of candidates to management bodies.

Initiation of working groups to develop information dissemination codes.

Obtaining complete information about the activities of the union and its members.

Signing the information dissemination codes developed by the union.

Members are also required to adhere to the union's charter, support its goals, and actively participate in its activities. In addition, they must pay membership fees as decided by the board.

To join the Union, those interested should send a written application to the address: 01032, Kyiv, St. Saksaganskoho 103, office 30. The Board of the Union considers the application within one month from the moment of its receipt and makes a decision on admission or rejection. In case of refusal, the applicant can submit a new application after eliminating the specified reasons.
