Iryna Nikonchuk, showrunner of 1+1 Production, will help choose the winner of the YO!DA competition

Iryna Nikonchuk, showrunner of 1+1 Production, will be a member of the jury of the competition of young directors of advertising YO! for the second time. Directors Awards, applications for which have already begun. Directors and creatives who want to shoot their first advertising work in their portfolio are invited to participate .

YO!DA is an initiative that connects well-known brands with the creative talents of the young generation of directors. The competition is being held for the second time — in 2020, from among 356 applications, the jury selected 6 finalists who filmed their first advertising works.

Contest participants at various stages: will receive briefs from project partners — brands of companies that will act as real customers , a grant for filming in the amount of $2,500, professional assistance from leading production companies of Ukraine, and will undergo a mentoring module from production experts and the best practitioners of the creative industry in Kyiv Academy of Media Arts . In the final of the competition, the jury will select works that will receive cash prizes in the amount of 1,000 and 2,000 dollars for the best implemented ideas, and the winner will also be chosen in the "Audience Award" category.

"Last year's experience showed us that the industry really needs the competition - we received a lot of positive feedback from clients, the videos were used in marketing campaigns of brands in Ukraine and abroad, the winner of the competition, Kyrylo Svetashov, has already filmed his next advertising works, other finalists are also continuing develop in different formats. This is an effective springboard that helps young talents to grow and gives them an additional push in this ," commented Dmytro Sukhanov, the founder of the Competition.

The semi-finalists will take part in the Educational Workshop at the Kyiv Academy of Media Arts — a series of master classes from professionals in the creative field, and will prepare a shooting board based on their idea. The list of finalists who will receive a Grant and a contract to shoot their first commercial will be announced at the beginning of August.

The premiere of the works and the announcement of the winners of the Competition, who will receive cash prizes, will take place on October 1 during the Gala award ceremony. The organizer is Toy Pictures advertising production.
