Yevhen Khmara presented the composition “REVIVAL,” dedicated to the workers of the Kyiv Metro

Music that calms. A metro that protects.

Ukrainian composer and pianist Yevhen Khmara presented a new instrumental composition “REVIVAL,” which he dedicated to the workers of the Kyiv Metro — people who, for the fourth year in a row, ensure the uninterrupted operation of the metro as both transport and a shelter for thousands of residents of the capital. It is symbolic that the release of the composition took place on the eve of the 65th anniversary of the Kyiv Metro.

For Yevhen, this story has a personal meaning — his father worked for many years as a train driver in the capital’s metro. That is why since childhood the musician has felt a special connection with the underground: he heard its rhythm, the stories about the people who keep the city moving even in the most difficult times.

“I wanted to convey the feeling of safety that you experience when you go underground and know — it is safe here. The metro has become a symbol of endurance, care, and the strength of the people who keep it moving,” says Yevhen Khmara.

“REVIVAL” is a musical dialogue between sounds that soothe and the place that protects. The composition conveys harmony between inner silence and outer resilience, between the city that lives on the surface and the world that beats beneath the ground.

For millions of Kyiv residents, the metro has long become not just transport, but a symbol of stability and protection. Now this rhythm has received its musical reflection — a rhythm that restores calm and faith in the future.
