Kyivstar TV entered the selection committee for Ukraine's First Debut Film Day
The selection committee for the Debut Film Day of short films, with official partner Kyivstar TV, has been announced. CEO of Kyivstar TV, Pavlo Rybak, has joined the committee
On September 28, the first Debut Film Day in Ukraine, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Film School, will take place in Kyiv. This large-scale event is aimed at supporting emerging filmmakers. During the day, debut or graduation short films by emerging filmmakers will be screened on the big screen at a capital city cinema.
The selection committee will choose the films to be shown. This year’s committee includes director Taras Dron, producer of FILM.UA Group Iryna Kostiuk, general producer of Mykolaichuk OPEN Film Festival Oleksii Hladushevskyi, program consultant of the Odesa International Film Festival and art director of the Ukrainian Film Academy Alik Shpyliuk, founder and director of the Ukrainian Film School Alyona Tymoshenko, and Kyivstar TV CEO Pavlo Rybak.
Applications for participation in the Debut Film Day of short films – graduation or debut works – are currently open. The selection committee will choose the best films for screening on September 28. Short films completed no earlier than 2022 are eligible for submission, with a runtime of no more than 30 minutes, which are either debut or graduation works. To submit an application, filmmakers must fill out an online form on the official website of the Ukrainian Film School and provide all required materials by September 23, 2024.
The event is organized by the Ukrainian Film School, a leading film school in Ukraine that has been nurturing the next generation of Ukrainian filmmakers for over seven years.

The participating films for Debut Film Day will be announced on September 25. The event will take place on September 28 at the Oscar Cinema (Gulliver Mall, Sportyvna Square, 1), starting at 11:00 a.m. Event partner: FILM.UA Group. Media partners: MarieClaire, WOMO, Kinowar, Ukrainky.
