Oleksandr Rudynskyi, Mykhailo Zhonin, Serhiy Kysil: the first Ukrainian true crime series "Tykha Nava" is now on Kyivstar TV
Today, January 15, the premiere of the Ukrainian true crime detective thriller "Tykha Nava" - one of the most anticipated exclusive projects of Kyivstar TV - started on the Kyivstar TV platform. The series immerses viewers in the gloomy atmosphere of a provincial town, where brutal crimes, silence and indifference of the system are hidden behind the external calm.
An important role in the project is played by a strong cast, which subtly and convincingly conveys the psychological tension and complex emotional states of the characters. The leading roles in the series were performed by: Oleksandr Rudynskyi, Anastasia Pustovit, Mykhailo Zhonin, Serhiy Kysil, Andriy Saminin, Iryna Ostrovska, Oleksandra Soroka, Veronika Mishaeva-Yakovleva and others.
"This script left no room for doubt, so I immediately agreed to participate. During the filming, we deliberately abandoned television, typicality and clichés - there are no restrictions in the series, and this is what makes it exclusive and unique! ”, — comments Oleksandr Rudynskyi, actor, performer of the main role.
The events unfold in the summer of 2018. Young lawyer Adam Yushkevych (Olexandr Rudynskyi) and his fiancée Inna (Olexandra Soroka) come to the town of Tykha Nava for a vacation, which turns into a tragedy. After a conflict with her fiancé, the girl goes in search of him and becomes a victim of rape, and instead of support, she encounters distrust and indifferent attitude of law enforcement officers. Suspicion unexpectedly falls on Adam himself, their relationship collapses, but he is not ready to accept injustice and decides to find out the truth himself.
The situation escalates when a new crime occurs in the town - this time with rape and murder. Adam enters into a dangerous confrontation with the system, where instead of an honest investigation, silence, falsification and fear reign, and the victims are forced to remain alone with their trauma.
“"Tykha Nava" is a story that does not leave the viewer on the sidelines and forces them to take a closer look at topics that they usually prefer to keep quiet about. For Kyivstar TV, this is another step in the development of our own original projects and confirmation of our desire to create modern Ukrainian content of high quality that resonates with reality and provokes public discussion,” comments Pavlo Rybak, CEO of Kyivstar TV.
By the way, on the eve of the premiere, a special pre-premiere screening of the first episode of "Tykha Nava" was held in the capital. The event brought together numerous guests - among them the actors of the series, the project team, stars and influencers. Guests were the first to watch the series and talk to the creators, learning more about the creation of this resonant story.
"Tykha Nava" is a bold and principled series that raises acute social issues and at the same time sets a new bar for quality for Ukrainian series. The project will certainly interest fans of detectives, true crime and deep psychological dramas.
