To see his father's photo on billboards: Natalia Ostrovska tells about the fulfilment of the dream of her 12-year-old son
Natalia Ostrovska, host of 1+1 Marathon and TSN, mentor of the 1+1 media project Zdiysny Mriyu, told the heartbreaking story of 12-year-old Ihor Trubachov on her official Instagram page.
His father was holding the defence near the town of Kreminna and, unfortunately, was killed during another enemy shelling. For his selfless defence of Ukraine, Volodymyr Trubachov, the boy's father, was posthumously awarded the Order for Courage, III class.
"Dear friends, today I would like to share an extremely touching story of the family of 12-year-old Igor Trubachev, a ward of the Children of Heroes charity foundation. He was born on 17 June 2012 in the Luhansk region. From the first grade, he was fond of playing the piano and going to judo classes. However, on 24 February 2022, the family's life changed radically. Ihor's father went to defend his native Luhansk region, and the family, along with his 6-year-old sister, found themselves under occupation by the enemy, who abused them for more than 2 months. Volodymyr (ed. - the boy's father) devoted more than 18 years to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and on 13 April 2022, during another enemy shelling, he sustained life-threatening injuries," the video, available at this link, says.
Natalia also noted that 12-year-old Ihor's biggest dream after everything he had been through was to see his father's photo on billboards in Kyiv. This wish came true thanks to 1+1 media and the Children of Heroes Foundation. The defender's photo appeared in several locations at once.
"Making the dreams of children of heroes come true is a special mission for our team, and seeing the eyes and emotions of the wish we tried to fulfil is priceless. It didn't take much effort to make the boy's dream come true, but how many emotions he got when he saw his portrait on the streets of the capital," Natalia adds.
As a reminder, 1+1 media cooperates with the Children of Heroes charity foundation as part of the Make a Dream Come True project. The cooperation involves the realisation of intangible dreams of children who lost one or two parents as a result of the Russian war against Ukraine. Thus, 1+1 media has managed to fulfil a large number of dreams. Earlier, The Hardkiss frontwoman Yulia Sanina met Kira Mishchenko, who dreamed of attending the singer's concert.
