What content did Ukrainian viewers prefer in August? Traditionally, the film and television platform Kyivstar TV sums up and shares the analytics of watching series, films, programs and news every month.

In August, the interest of platform users in crime films almost doubled. Demand for comedy, adventure, detective and melodramas remains steady, with a slight uptick in interest in the Cartoons category. In addition, the interest in the telethon "Edyni Novyni" has noticeably increased, which is already a regularity in moments of important historical events.

FILMS

In August, both Ukrainian and foreign films were in demand on the film and television platform. Thus, among Ukrainian films, the documentary film "We, our favorites and the war" directed by Anton Ptushkin, jointly produced by the Ukrainian company Vse Sam and the Canadian company Yap Films, was at the top of the list.

Yes, among them are all 8 seasons of the series "Dexter" with Ukrainian audio track, which tells about a forensic expert who conducts blood tests, works in the local police and is a psychopath and a serial killer at the same time.

In August, there was a significant increase in the total viewership of "Yediny Novin" compared to July, as Ukraine celebrated Independence Day, and interest in the telethon was also attracted by events in the Kursk region, from where correspondents had the opportunity to prepare exclusive materials. Thus, the share of "Edyny noviny" in August was 11.77%, as opposed to 8.72% last month.

Among news channels, 1+1 Marathon TV channel continues to lead the viewing of the "Edyny Novyni" telethon in August.

Wrestling

Film and television platform exclusively broadcasts wrestling on the WWE HD channel with Ukrainian commentators. The most popular events in August were SummerSlam and Bash in Berlin, which had the highest viewing figures of any sports event on the platform.

Boxing

On August 17, on Kyivstar TV exclusively among Ukrainian OTT platforms, you could watch the duel between British boxers Bentley vs Osaze (York Hall, Bethnal Green). This confrontation attracted considerable attention of the audience and became the second most popular event of August.

Football

The match "Olympia - Zorya" also attracted the attention of fans on Kyivstar TV, becoming the third most popular August sports event on the platform.

In August, the ten most popular FAST channels (thematic playlists) together received a share of 8.28%, which is 1.67 pp. less than in July.
