The return of Kyiv’s most famous press center: UNIAN on Khreshchatyk resumes work in July

The UNIAN Information Agency, the undisputed leader in Ukraine’s digital news segment, consistently ranked first according to Gemius data, announces the resumption of operations at its legendary press center located at 4 Khreshchatyk Street. The updated space will open its doors on July 14, 2025.

This venue has long been a platform for landmark events. Significant press conferences, numerous presentations, and discussions have taken place here. For instance, the first major press conference of President Viktor Yushchenko, the announcement of the breakup of Okean Elzy when Yuriy Khustochka and Dmytro Shurov left the band. One of the last major events before the press center’s forced pause was the first press conference of captured Russian occupiers in early March 2022.

Now, the UNIAN press center returns in a new format—as a modern, multifunctional space for hosting public events and broadcasts. It features a powerful TV studio equipped with unique technology.

The UNIAN press center will be capable of live broadcasting events in a talk show format, providing live guest connections from anywhere in the world via modern video communication systems, simultaneous interpretation, and the display of presentations and videos on a large screen and digital panels.

“We didn’t want to come back the way we were. The country has changed, society has changed: in times of war, we must be the best, the most inventive, the most technologically advanced. We decided to create a press center on a grand scale — a digital multimedia studio with video cameras for broadcasting press conferences and talk shows. We hope that the renewed space will be appreciated by our audience: people who want to talk about their work and achievements, about their businesses, books, and songs. Everyone is welcome at UNIAN!” — says Mykhailo Hannytskyi, UNIAN’s Editor-in-Chief.

When no public events are being held, the space will function as a high-tech TV studio for producing informational content for UNIAN’s YouTube channels (UNIAN, UNIAN TV).

“We plan to invite experts, guests, politicians, military personnel. We have everything we need for that: plasma panels and a large screen where we can show presentations and communicate with people online”,adds Mykhailo Hannytskyi.

Importantly, the press center is also equipped with a shelter.
