Big Brave Events, the production division of 1+1 media, wins the competition to create the final concert of the National Selection for Eurovision 2024

On Tuesday, 12 December, UA:PBC, which organises and broadcasts the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine, announced the results of the tender to select a contractor to film the final concert of the National Selection in 2024.

Thus, the winner of the competition, and, accordingly, the production team that will create this year's final of the national selection for Eurovision, will be the 1+1 media Big Brave Events team.

1+1 media noted that Big Brave Events has valuable experience in creating large-scale shows and programmes, and during the great war, a number of charity telethons Save Ukraine and Embrace Ukraine were held in major European cities. By the way, the last event - Embrace Ukraine - #StrivingTogether - took place on 21 June last year, on the eve of the European Council meeting in Brussels, where the issue of granting Ukraine the status of a candidate country for the European Union was decided. Back then, the main square of Amsterdam hosted world-famous artists who took part in the main European song contest, including Jamala, Kalush Orchestra, Conchita Wurst, Verka Serduchka, S10, Emmelie de Forest, Blind Channel and others.

Volodymyr Zavadiuk, Head of Big Brave Events at 1+1 media, said that this is a new challenge for the team and an opportunity to showcase Ukrainian artists who will compete for the right to represent Ukraine at Eurovision even more powerfully.

"I am sincerely glad to hear this news, because the expertise of Big Brave Events 1+1 media will definitely be needed at this year's National Selection. Over the past two years, we have been working hard for the Victory, preparing performances and events across Europe and, most importantly, working with our partners to open the Eurovision Grand Final in Liverpool. There is no doubt that together with the team of highly skilled professionals we are assembling for this task in the market, we will do our best to ensure that the entire National Selection Final is as true to the Eurovision DNA as possible. The finalists are very different and very talented, so it will be incredibly interesting to work with them," commented Vladimir Zavadyuk.

As it is known, the final of the national selection will take place in February 2024 in the format of a televised concert. As in previous years, the winner of the selection to represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be determined by the jury and the audience. The jury of the final will be selected by Ukrainians through online voting.

The 68th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in May 2024 in Malmö, Sweden. The Grand Final will take place at the Malmö Arena on Saturday, 11 May. The semi-finals, one of which will include a representative from Ukraine, will take place on 7 and 9 May.

The National Selection and all stages of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be broadcast by Public Broadcasting.
