PwC in Ukraine becomes an independent consultant of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine for the second time
Already on October 3, on World Teacher's Day, the whole country will see the main winner on the air of the national telethon.
Behind each of the stages of the announcement is a large-scale selection process, covering thousands of applications, the work of experts and evaluation according to defined criteria. That is why independent support of the winner determination process remains an important component of the award.
This year, the PwC company in Ukraine joins the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine for the second time as an independent consultant for checking the transparency and correctness of the winner determination process.
«Trust in the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine is based, in particular, on transparent selection. Every year, we process thousands of applications together with the involved experts and juries, and independent support of the processes is fundamental. We are happy to cooperate with PwC in Ukraine, because every year it helps us to be 100% sure that the choice of the winner takes place according to the same rules for all», — says Zoya Lytvyn, founder of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine and «Education».
Repeated cooperation is a continuation of the practice of independent support of the award at key stages of selection. The PwC team carries out independent monitoring of the process of determining the finalists and the winner in accordance with the approved Methodology.
Olena Volkova, a partner of PwC in Ukraine, comments: «Education belongs to those areas where the real result can be seen over time. It manifests itself over the years in the decisions, values and paths chosen by students. That is why it is an honor for us to join the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine for the second time and support an initiative that recognizes teachers whose influence goes far beyond the school walls».
Every year, the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine recognizes teachers who change Ukrainian education and inspire by example. And cooperation with PwC in Ukraine is part of the award's approach to an open and consistent process of determining the winner.
