I Am Hope series nominated for Golden Jig 2023 award

I Am Hope, a war drama produced by 2+2 TV channel, has been shortlisted for the Golden Dziga national film award

I Am Hope, a war drama produced by 2+2 TV channel during the full-scale war, has been shortlisted for the Golden Dzyga national film award in the Best Series category.

The four-episode war drama I Am Hope is based on real events. It is a story about Kharkiv ambulance workers who saved civilians and soldiers of the city in the first months of the war despite fear and fatigue, despite shelling and bombing. Starting from 27 April, the series is available on the international streaming platform Netflix.

"We are extremely pleased that our first series during the full-scale war, a story about real people and their heroism, has been awarded the most prestigious Ukrainian film award. Undoubtedly, this is a merit of the entire team, our partners - SFERA FILM production, actors and director Denis Tarasov, who in December 2022 were the first to dare to shoot a feature series under martial law, during alarms, shelling and blackouts," comments Sergiy Karpenko, showrunner of the project.

In addition to the drama I Am Hope, the series Ukraine on Fire 2 and Coffee of Your City will compete for the victory in this category. The jury will vote from 30 June to 24 July.

The list of finalists in various categories also includes projects that have been broadcast on 1+1 media TV channels and on the Kyivstar TV platform or are scheduled to premiere soon, which will be announced separately.
