FILMING HAS BEGUN ON THE SEQUEL TO THE HIGHEST-GROWN UKRAINIAN FEATURE FILM OF THE YEAR, "WHEN WILL YOU GET MARRIED?"

The filming of the sequel to the highest-grossing Ukrainian film of the year “When Will You Get Married?” has started UnitedContentHUB studio is once again preparing a surprise for the audience: the filming of the long-awaited sequel to the film “When Will You Get Married?” titled “When Will You Get Divorced?” has officially started in Bulgaria

After the success of the first part of “When Will You Get Married?”, which became the highest-grossing Ukrainian film of the year and entered the TOP-10 highest-grossing local releases of the first half of the year in Central and Eastern Europe*, collecting over 40 million hryvnias and 240 thousand tickets in the national box office, and also received a theatrical release in the USA, Canada, Austria, Germany and other countries with the original Ukrainian dubbing.

The romantic story of love, the adventure surrounding the theft of the world masterpiece by Paul Gauguin, is getting a sequel, and the heroes of the first part, who have already managed to conquer the hearts of the Ukrainian and international audience, and their phrases from the film have become quotes and memes, will face new romantic adventures. On the screens, viewers will again see their favorite actors: Natalka Denysenko, Tonya Khyzhnyak and Taras Tsymbalyuk, who have already become the identity of the new wave of Ukrainian genre cinema in Ukraine and the world.

Currently, the filming process of the second part, entitled “When Will You Break Up?” has already crossed the equator. This time, the story goes beyond the borders of one country - the team is working in Bulgaria, the filming is being carried out in partnership with one of the largest local film studios “Concept Studio” and overlooking the Black Sea. After all, Bulgaria and Ukraine have a common sea, a common energy and a common language of emotions, so one of the main messages of the film is “The Black Sea unites”.

"Our adventurous story about the theft of the world's most famous diamond on the picturesque Black Sea coast is a story with character. There is a combination of risk, passion and love. The romantic line of the main characters adds depth and emotion, turning the film into a real journey that will give unforgettable impressions to millions of viewers in Ukraine and around the world," comments UCH General Producer Andriy Nogin.

Favorite actors return to their roles: Tonya Khyzhnyak, Taras Tsymbalyuk and Natalka Denysenko. Their characters went through the trials of the first part and now will face even more difficult choices, new temptations and sincere revelations.

Film and television star Anastasia Tsymbalaru has joined the cast of the sequel to the hit. The team is keeping the details of her role a secret for now, but it is already known that it is her character who will become the key to the unexpected plot twists and will keep the audience in suspense until the final shots of the film.

Director Alexei Komarovsky notes that the film is not about divorce as an end, but about the process of rethinking, when you begin to hear yourself, your heart and true desires. The star of Bulgarian cinema, actor Ivo Arakov, has also joined the cast, who will add an international sound and new charm to the story.

“Our film is already a story with its own distinctive style. The viewer expects to see our signature attributes again: the sea, adventure, mysterious circumstances, some precious artifact and, of course, love. And this time we will give you the Black Sea of ​​Odessa and Bulgaria, the Hope diamond worth hundreds of millions, a spy vibe, action and a new love triangle with a Bulgarian handsome man - a movie star,” shares the film’s director, Alexei Komarovsky.

“When You Break Up” promises to be not just a romantic comedy, but a joint Ukrainian-Bulgarian film adventure that shows that love, the sea and art know no borders. According to the producers, viewers will laugh, cry, recognize themselves in the characters and leave the cinema with the feeling that love always wins, even if the path to it goes through separation.

A few behind-the-scenes facts: some of the scenes are filmed on the Black Sea coast in the ancient cities of Nessebar and Sozopol, which are world cultural heritage sites. The post-production of the film will involve innovative AI technologies, and the filming on a 90-foot yacht took place in a real Black Sea storm, contrary to the script.

“When will you break up?” is a story not about the end, but about a new beginning. Perhaps this film will remind us that love is a journey, not a destination. The premiere is coming soon, and the Black Sea unites us even more this time.
