TV presenter and traveler Dmytro Komarov fulfilled the dream of children whose parents died in the war

1+1 Media continues to fulfill the cherished wishes of the Children of Heroes Foundation charges who have lost one or both parents due to the war as part of the Make a Dream Come True initiative. This time, seven dreamers personally met with Dmytro Komarov, host of the 'World Inside Out Ukraine' and 'The World Inside Out' programs, in a fabulous place - Santa's Residence at VDNH.

Before talking to their idol, the children had an exciting interactive program consisting of games, fun activities with elves, and an unforgettable meeting with Santa.

"Any dream that comes true is happiness, especially for a child. These children are very sociable, and they do not close themselves off. They reach out with their souls for the good, the best, some kindness, and their dreams. And this dream came true today - Dmytro visited them," emphasized Santa, who, together with the Make a Dream Come True team, helped to give the children an absolute miracle.

Dmytro Komarov unexpectedly appeared at Santa's Residence, giving the dreamers unforgettable emotions. During the conversation, the children had the opportunity to learn more about the traveler's most extreme shootings and receive themed gifts from him—exceptional watches that will be useful during travels, as they have a built-in thermometer, compass, whistle, and can even make a fire.

"These kids are very strong despite the tragedy they have experienced. They continue to live. Our task is to make their lives happy. I was impressed that they knew hundreds of programs by heart, perfectly, and second by second. That's why it was important for me to tell them what was left behind the scenes, to give them motivation and strength to believe in themselves," Dmytro said after the meeting.

The children of the deceased defenders came to Kyiv from different cities of Ukraine. In particular, 7-year-old Volodymyr Kochubey went to the capital with his mother Maria from the town of Hlukhiv, Sumy region, located ten kilometers from the Russian border. Vova's father, Ivan Kochubey, spent two years of the war in hot spots: Vuhledar, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka. Unfortunately, the man was killed in March of this year during a battle in the Donetsk region.

Among the meeting participants was 18-year-old Yehor, born in Donetsk but has lived in Kyiv since 2014. The boy plays the electric guitar in memory of his father. Renata also keeps memories of her father. The girl, along with her mother and brother, volunteers.

"This flag will be a talisman for me. I wanted Dmytro Komarov to sign it. And my dream has come true," Renata added.

You can find out more about the meeting in a dedicated video on 1+1 Media's official Instagram and Facebook pages and in the story of the "Breakfast with 1+1" morning show, available here.
