A magical gala premiere of the film “The Guardians of Christmas” took place in Kyiv — stars, wonder, and a true celebration
On November 11, a gala premiere of the most anticipated Christmas movie of the year — the family comedy “The Guardians of Christmas” by 1+1 media and UnitedContentHUB — took place at the Planeta Kino cinema in Blockbuster Mall, Kyiv. The event turned into a real miracle — filled with the sparkle of stars, warmth, the aroma of ginger cookies, and the feeling that the holidays are just around the corner. The film will be released nationwide on November 13, and tickets are already on sale.
The gala premiere was attended by the main cast — Ivan Blindar, Arina Trehub, and Iryna Ostrovska, as well as the film’s creative team. They were joined by friends, colleagues, and many celebrity guests.
Among them were Tina Karol, who created the film’s main soundtrack, Maks Devizorov, Andrii Isaienko, Aurika Rotaru with her grandchildren, Seit-Bekir Suleimanov with his children, Oleg Verniaiev, Nelia Shovkoplias, Kateryna Nikitina, Anastasia Tsymbalaru, Anatoliy Anatolich, Solomiya Vitvitska, Yurii Horbunov and Kateryna Osadcha, Ivan Liulenov, Akim Halimov with his family, Natali Solonik with her children, Oleksii Nahrudnyi with his wife, Tetiana Zlova, Kostiantyn Hrubych, Anita Lutsenko, and young rising stars — Anastasia Dymyd, Artem Kotenko, and others.
The festive atmosphere was enriched with themed activities: the main partner Korolivskyi Smak gifted everyone its products and souvenir pillow toys. Guests were the first to taste the special “The Guardians of Christmas” ice cream line by Faini Lody, and also witnessed the ceremonial cancellation of an exclusive postage stamp by Ukrposhta, created in honor of the film’s release. The official partner METRO treated guests to drinks and Christmas donuts, creating a cozy festive mood.
The official part of the event was hosted by Natalia Ostrovska, TSN presenter on 1+1.
The cinema’s interior resembled a magical home from the movie — with Christmas trees, gifts, and sparkling holiday lights.
“We wanted to give people not just a movie, but the feeling of Christmas — when you believe in kindness, magic, and humanity. Judging by the audience’s emotions, we succeeded” — said Tetiana Shulika, co-writer and producer of the film.
The main cast shared their impressions:
“This is definitely a film you’ll want to watch with your loved ones, especially when everyone needs a bit more light and warmth — in every sense. I’m grateful for the chance to embody my childhood superhero, Saint Nicholas, on screen” — commented Ivan Blindar, who plays Saint Nicholas.
Arina Trehub, an 8-year-old actress, played the main role of the girl Vira, whose dream was fulfilled by magicians in the film:
“The girl Vira, whom I played, is very dreamy and special. She embodies all the little Ukrainians who are living their childhood here, during the war. So our team wanted to give everyone — both adults and children — a piece of celebration and faith in miracles. Come to the cinema!” — the young actress commented.
The film “The Guardians of Christmas” is a heartfelt family comedy where goodness overcomes indifference, and miracles happen precisely when you truly believe in them.
The film will premiere in Ukrainian cinemas starting November 13, bringing joy and the spirit of Christmas closer to everyone.
At the heart of the story are three legendary magical beings: Saint Nicholas (Ivan Blindar), Santa Claus (Mykhailo Kukuiuk), and the Ancient Spirit of Winter (Stanislav Boklan). Meeting secretly before the holiday, they try to peacefully decide who should be responsible for Christmas. But everything changes when a random wish by little Vira (Arina Trehub) erases this day from the entire world. The holiday disappears from people’s memories, and the heroes lose their magical powers. They must unite to restore faith in miracles — and with it, bring Christmas back.
