A new story about love, ambition and a second chance will start in Ukrainian cinemas on January 15, 2026 - "Probation", a romantic comedy by 1+1 Media and SFERA FILM. The creators of the film presented the first official teaser, which features more than ten favorite actors and showbiz stars.
The teaser shows the first scenes of the rivalry between the main characters Polina (Katerina Kuznetsova) and Roman (Kyrylo Parastayev) - sharp dialogues, funny situations in the office, sparks that flare up between them from the first meeting. Viewers can expect a dynamic romantic story full of humor, warmth, tenderness and recognizable moments from life. And also - beautiful locations and warm Kyiv with its atmospheric streets and buildings.
Yes, a truly exceptional cast has united representatives of different generations of Ukrainian cinema: Katerina Kuznetsova, Kyrylo Parastayev, Vyacheslav Dovzhenko, Irma Vitovska, Andriy Isayenko, Tetyana Malkova, Ivan Sharan, Dmytro Tankovich, Marichka Khomenko, Daria Petrozhytska, Taras Tsymbalyuk, Viktor Zhdanov. This star tandem and the appearance of the legendary cameo in the teaser, without exaggeration, of Pavel Zibrov, hint at the film's special charm and humor.
"Our film is a light, ironic, but at the same time sincere European film about modern people who learn to trust, forgive and rebuild themselves. This is a beautiful story with living heroes who balance between career, family problems and their own emotions. You believe them, they become "ours". The plot centers on Polina, the daughter of an influential businessman, who, after her father's betrayal, decides to start all over again. She is undergoing a probationary period at an advertising agency, where her main competitor is Roman, a young, ambitious and self-confident specialist. Their rivalry turns into a real emotional duel, in which professional wrestling gradually turns into a game of feelings.
“We wanted to make a story in which everyone would see themselves — with all their weaknesses, self-irony and faith in love. Ekaterina Kuznetsova and Kirill Parastaev formed an incredible duet on the screen — modern, honest and real. The film will open up new stars to the audience, as well as show those who have long gained immense popularity with the audience.
