
The longlist for the Golden Spinning Top Award includes 13 series broadcast on 1+1 media channels
The Ukrainian Film Academy has published a longlist of candidates for the 9th National Film Award "Golden Spinning Top", which annually celebrates achievements in the development of cinema.
In 2025, the list included 70 works: 8 full-length feature films, 18 documentaries, 7 short documentaries, 14 short feature films, and 23 series.
Thus, among the projects that made it to the longlist of the national film award, there were 13 series that were broadcast on 1+1 media's own and partner TV channels.
Among the nominees:
- Comedy series "Volunteers-2" (TV channel TET). Prod. Naum Barulya, dir. Andriy Burlaka.
- Comedy series "To Make It to 30. Second Season". The main characters of the series, which airs on the TET TV channel, are three girls who, after a series of failures, accidentally meet in Kyiv just on the day of their 29th birthday. Each of them, like many young people, suffers from a mid-30s crisis and grieves over their own unrealized potential. The heroines regard this coincidence as a sign of fate and gain the courage to radically change their lives. The main condition is that everything must be done by thirty. Prod. - War drama "Evacuation". A story on TV channel 2+2 about a computer science teacher from Poland, Marius, who sets out to search for and rescue his 12-year-old daughter Maria from Mariupol occupied by the Russian army. Prod. Tetyana Shulika, dir. Denis Tarasov.
- Adventure drama "Ordinary person". A series on TV channel 2+2 about a simple road worker Oleg, whose daughter disappeared in the chaos of war, and he went to look for her in the occupied territory. Prod. Dmitry Safanovsky, Vadim Chervyakov, Dmitry Andriyanov
- Drama series "Doctor by Calling". A story on TV channel 1+1 Ukraine about how in a desperate fight for life there is always a place for hope. Prod. Elena Yeremeyeva, Daria Zhukova, Natalia Yakovleva, Oleksandr Kiriyenko
- Military tragicomedy "Callsign "Tamada". The premiere took place on the 2+2 TV channel. It tells the story of a cheerful and carefree host of events, who after the start of a full-scale invasion becomes a volunteer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Prod. Dmitry Safanovsky, Vadym Chervyakov, dir. Oleksandr Salnikov.
- Melodramatic series "The Call of Love". The story on the 1+1 Ukraine TV channel about school love, which, although interrupted, left a deep mark in the hearts of Anya and Andriy. The war became a test that forced them to completely change their lives. Andriy, an intellectual and patriot, chose the path of the military and paid a high price for it. Anya, ambitious and purposeful, built a career in the capital. But the war forced both of them to rethink their priorities. Returning to their hometown, they meet again, and their experience gained in the fight against life's challenges makes them even stronger and wiser. Prod. Vitaly Sirenko, Vadym Zhuk, dir. - Melodramatic series "Train". The premiere took place on the 1+1 Ukraine TV channel. A young conductor receives a marriage proposal from the train's chief the day before the start of a full-scale invasion, but the beauty sees her future completely differently. However, the war destroys all her plans. Polina's train becomes an evacuation train: instructions and schedules are thrown upside down, three times as many frightened and nervous passengers are packed into the carriages, there is a shortage of water, food and medicine, a ruthless enemy is shooting from everywhere, and even the driver does not know the final destination of the route. - Melodramatic series “Continuation of the Family”. A 4-episode drama on the 1+1 Ukraine TV channel about four women who encounter a full-scale invasion in a maternity hospital. Prod. Vitaly Sirenko, Vadym Zhuk, dir. Mykola Mikhailov.
- Dramatic series “Only Live”. A story on the 1+1 Ukraine TV channel about a guy from whom the war took everything, but helped him find a new calling, love and taught him to understand what is truly valuable. Prod. Igor Volkov, Sergey Baranov, dir. Zaza Buadze.
- Melodramatic series “Here and Now”. The premiere took place on the 1+1 Ukraine TV channel. It tells the story of four friends who decided not to put off life for later. Prod. Rita Grebenchikova, Yuriy Artemenko, Olga Panteleimonova, dir. Volodymyr Yanoshchuk.
- War drama “The Path”. The main character of the film, which was released on the 2+2 TV channel, is an employee of a volunteer organization, a talented negotiator and analyst Alexei. Even before the full-scale invasion, he helped families separated by the front line, returned prisoners and searched for missing people. To achieve his goals, Alexei did not neglect any connections, because his main goal is to help. Prod. Serhiy Karpenko, dir. Denis Tarasov.
- Lyrical comedy "The Way Home". The premiere took place on the 1+1 Ukraine TV channel. It tells the story of the lives of two families who become victims of a realtor-swindler. Prod. Viktoriya Burdukova, dir. Denis Tarasov.
