“Guardians of Christmas”: First trailer of the holiday comedy starring Boklan, Kukuyuk, and Blindar released
The nationwide premiere of this year’s main Christmas story — November 13 in cinemas across the country
On July 18, the premiere of the first trailer for the Christmas comedy “Guardians of Christmas”, produced by 1+1 Media, took place. The film, created in partnership with UnitedContentHUB, will hit the big screen earlier than previously announced — on November 13, 2025. This will be the first Christmas film of the year, setting the mood and spirit for the upcoming holidays.
At the heart of the story are three legendary figures competing for the title of Main Christmas Wizard: Saint Nicholas (Ivan Blindar), Santa Claus (Mykhailo Kukuyuk), and the Ancient Spirit of Winter (Stanislav Boklan). They meet on the eve of the 2023 holiday season, when Ukrainians, for the first time in a long while, celebrated Christmas on December 25. The trio tries to decide who should oversee Christmas in Ukraine and who the children should send their wish letters to. After unintentionally granting a wish from a young girl named Vira (Arina Trehub), Christmas, winter symbols, and the magical powers of the wizards vanish from people’s memories. With the loss of belief in miracles, the Guardians are tasked with bringing back the holiday spirit and proving that true miracles can be created by people themselves — no magic needed.

Humor, unexpected plot twists, and favorite actors on screen — this combination will help set the right mood for the holidays. Alongside Blindar, Kukuyuk, and Boklan, the film also stars Kateryna Kuznetsova (Vira’s mom), Roman Lutskyi (Vira’s dad), Iryna Ostrovska (museum employee), and Candy Superstar — a popular blogger with millions of followers, appearing in a surprising role. The creators emphasize that this is far from the full cast, and many more stars will appear on screen.

To create a truly relevant and vibrant comedy, Ukrainian stand-up comedians were brought in to help polish the jokes during the final scriptwriting stage.
