The romantic comedy "Trial Period," starring Taras Tsymbalyuk, Katya Kuznetsova, and Pavlo Zibrov, premiered in Kyiv.

The event marked the first pre-premiere screening of the year, gathering stars and influencers.

On January 5, the gala premiere of Trial Period, produced by 1+1 Media and SFERA FILM, was held at Planeta Kino in Blockbuster Mall, Kyiv. The first Ukrainian film pre-premiere of 2026 attracted numerous celebrities and influencers, including cast members Kateryna Kuznetsova, Kyrylo Parastaev, Tetyana Malkova, Marichka Khomenko, Taras Tsymbalyuk, Olena Uzyluk, Lesya Samayeva, Bohdan Buyluk, Kateryna Oliferovska, Karolina Pampukha, and Varvara Kosogor.

Despite the winter weather outside, the evening was warm and almost spring-like, filled with smiles, hugs, and the anticipation of a love story that finds people even in the most unexpected moments. The film will be released nationwide on January 8, and tickets for screenings are already on sale.

The event was moderated by Oleksandr Prepodobny, host at 1+1 Media. The film's creators and invited celebrity guests joined the festive premiere. Among them was Pavlo Zibrov, who had a cameo in the film. In the movie, he appears as himself — with all his trademark charisma, humor, and, of course, legendary image. The event was also attended by Nelya Shovkoplias, Denys Boiko, Olena Lavreniuk, Oleksiy Surovtsev, Kateryna Nikitina, Vira Kobzar, Oleksiy Nagrudnyi, Maks Devizorov, Daria Tregubova, Anna Salivanychuk, Pavlo Tekuchev, Oleksiy Suprun (Bumper), Kostyantyn Hrubych with his family, Ihor Tsyganik, Tetiana Zlova, and others.

"No one in this project was indifferent to what we were doing. Everyone put their heart and soul into it, dreaming that this story would become the most vivid romantic comedy of the year. We hope the film resonates with viewers as much as it did with us — because it is sincere, modern, and made with great love. Come to the cinema — this story is worth your time," said the film's producer, Anna Gonchar.

Kateryna Kuznetsova, who plays the lead role of Polina, attended the event with her loved ones. Oleh Kuznetsov, the legendary footballer from Kyiv's Dynamo, also attended his daughter's premiere.

“There has never been a comedy like this in Ukraine before! You can expect a lot of humor, great actors, an interesting storyline, cool music, and, most importantly, a love story that will inspire you and leave you wanting more,” said Kateryna.

Kyrylo Parastaev, for whom this role was his debut in a feature film, added:

“At first, I watched the film through the prism of my own acting — I watched myself, catching every detail. But over time, I began to watch the story itself. And I caught myself just staring at the screen and sitting there with a smile.”

The film's partners complemented the evening's visual and emotional atmosphere. General partner Bolt handled the comfortable logistics for the guests. International beauty brand Lamel prepared gifts for the premiere guests. Robota.ua surprised everyone with interactive activities, including a selfie mirror and walks with a robot dog. Guests were treated to German sparkling wine, Latinium. Your Latinium — your rules!

“Trial Period” is a romantic comedy about an unplanned career and unpredictable feelings. It is about those who broke down but did not give up. And about the fact that sometimes the primary test is the ability to trust again.

The main character, Polina (Kateryna Kuznetsova), is the glamorous daughter of a businessman (Oleksandr Kobzar) who leads a carefree life. After her father's betrayal, she finds herself on probation at an advertising agency. There, for a month, she competes for a position with Roman (Kyrylo Parastaev), an ambitious and principled colleague who views the world very differently.

Their professional rivalry gradually escalates into conflicts, unexpected rapprochements, and situations where it is difficult to distinguish between work tasks and personal feelings. This is a romantic comedy with topical humor about the search for trust, new beginnings, and how even the fiercest competition can unexpectedly turn into a love story.

Viewers will also get to see their favorite actors on the big screen — Vyacheslav Dovzhenko, Andriy Isaienko, Irma Vitovska, Olena Uzlyuk, Tetiana Malkova, Ivan Sharan, Marichka Khomenko, Taras Tsymbalyuk, Daria Petrozytska, Dmytro Tankovych, Ksenia Mishina, and Viktor Zhdanov.

The official soundtrack for the film is one of the most popular songs of 2025 — the super hit by the band DREVO, “Smaragdove Nebo”. Speaking of which, viewers will also see the band perform in the film.

“Trial Period” will be released in Ukrainian theaters on January 8 to bring Ukrainians a little warmth, humor, and love during the gray January days. There will also be pre-premiere screenings in Kyiv and Cherkasy on January 6 and 7.
