Honor Run in Kyiv will raise funds for the International Legion of the GUR and honor fallen heroes
On June 29, 2025, the fourth Rekrut Charity Race of Honor will be held in Kyiv on the territory of VDNH. All funds raised (100% of entry fees) will be donated to the needs of the International Legion of the GUR. 1+1 media became the media partner of the event.
It was in the International Legion that Alexey "Rekrut" Chubashev served, whose name the race bears - a military journalist, major of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who died on June 10, 2022 in the battles for Seversko-Donetsk.
The organizers of the race were Alexey's wife Yulia Chubashev together with the Run Ukraine company. The Race of Honor is not only a way to honor the memory, but also a reminder of the values for which Rekrut died - dignity, devotion and courage. This is exactly why the Recruit Race of Honor was created — to pay tribute, honor those who led others, and continue their work.
Oleksiy Chubashev was a bright representative of the new generation of Ukrainian officers: sincere, purposeful, dedicated to the cause. His life credo #NeSlimach became the slogan of the Race of Honor — a call to action and not to be indifferent.
During the existence of the Race of Honor, its key idea has not changed, but only evolved. Now it is a race not only in honor of Oleksiy, but in honor of all fallen heroes, who continue to inspire Ukrainians with their courage, devotion, endurance, strength of spirit, sense of justice and dignity. This race is a union of military and civilian, a race-statement for all its participants to the fallen soldiers: “It was an honor for us to know you. We will pick up your ideas, continue your work and not let you down.”
