‘Celebrity Last Call’: EdEra and Postmen invite you to sit with the stars at the same desk in a language lesson
On Friday, 31 May, at 18:00, we invite you to the Starry Last Call at Gulliver shopping mall (Kyiv).
This event is part of the free national online course ‘Speak.Motives’ by the online education studio EdEra and the Postmen agency, where you will be able to refresh your knowledge of Ukrainian and sit at the same desk as TAYANNA, Akim Galimov or Maria Sebova.
The ‘Celebrity Last Bell’ will bring together an unusual ‘celebrity’ class for a special lesson. The guests will have an informal lesson in Ukrainian with the band Tember Blanche, singer Marta Adamchuk, blogger Igor Donskikh, choreographer Yevgeny Kot, and 1+1 media TV presenters, to name but a few. The stars will sit down at the desks with the participants and learn more about the peculiarities of our language, apt examples of specific Ukrainian swearing or jokes, and take part in interactive tasks together with their idols. And during the break, they will be able to visit the Silpo canteen.
‘We want to hold a lesson where you can sit next to 1+1 media producer Akim Galimov or TV presenter Anna Tulieva, remember what it was like to rustle cribs at the last desk or learn something amazing in your favourite lessons. And to feel how the language unites us all: when we can joke, be surprised or indignant together, when it's time for a break. The main thing is to do it in Ukrainian,’ the organisers emphasise.
To sit at the same desk as the star, you need to register for the event (the number of guests is limited) - and among all the registered participants, the organisers will randomly select 80 participants who will sit at the stars' desks. Everyone else will be able to watch the event and attend it freely.
The teachers of the event will be Anastasia Brechko, co-founder of the Ukrainian language school ‘neugamovno’, author of the YouTube channel #budniyuchilki, and Artur Proydakov, winner of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2021, Executive Director of the DreamDiy Educational Foundation.
