11 Years of Media Education: How 1+1 Media School Changed the Industry
Today, September 20, 1+1 Media School, the 1+1 Media educational project, turns 11 years old!
Founded in 2013, the school has become a leading center of media and television training. During this time, the project significantly expanded its capabilities, becoming not only a source of quality knowledge in the field of TV business, but also a driving force for popularizing media literacy in Ukraine.
"For 11 years, 1+1 Media School has become an important platform for those who want to succeed in the media industry, as well as a landmark project of 1+1 Media. As a media company, it is a priority for us to support the industry and form a generation of professionals who will develop the Ukrainian media space, promote the values of media literacy and responsible information consumption," commented HR director of 1+1 Media Olha Musiyko.
"We are constantly improving our educational programs, adapting them to new market challenges and modern technologies. Our teachers, famous presenters, journalists and actors, concentrate their experience and transfer it through creative approaches to education to make learning as useful and practical as possible. We don't just teach, but prepare full-fledged future leaders of the industry," added the head of 1+1 Media School Anastasia Kuzmenko.
During these 11 years, within the framework of the 1+1 Media School project, many significant results were achieved, which confirm the importance and impact of the educational initiative on the media industry of Ukraine. Among them:
- The school has opened its doors to 6,700 students seeking to acquire skills and knowledge in the field of media;
- More than 100 speakers were involved;
- Over the past year, new areas of study for children and adults have appeared: "Course of improvisation and acting skills" and "Children's course of dubbing";
- In 2023, 1+1 Media School, within the framework of the "Comprehensive Campaign to Counter Disinformation", introduced a mixed learning format for all interested parties, offering the courses "Journalism covering military operations" and "Creating content on YouTube with military themes in mind";
- Children's areas of study and the "Dubbing actor" course are currently the most popular
- In 2023-2024, the number of students returning to 1+1 Media School, choosing additional courses after completing the first one, increased;
- In 2023-2024, 1+1 Media School actively developed corporate training, implementing trainings in communications, public speaking and rapid information processing for international and Ukrainian companies and organizations, as well as supporting charity projects aimed at training various target audiences, including children and local communities.
