Anastasia Klymenko, intern at the News Department

Anastasiia told us about how she managed to get on the plus side, an unexpected surprise from a colleague, and shared her motivation in her work.

On choosing a career path

I am studying to become a TV and radio presenter at KUK in my 4th year. At 1+1 media, my position is fully consistent with my speciality, and I am doing an internship at TSN as a journalist. I am constantly learning new things, performing various tasks, and this helps me when I have to do similar tasks, because every time I do them faster and better.

To be honest, I don't even know what helped me get the internship, probably my creative business card, because it was really creative. When I found out that an internship was available at Plus, I quickly came up with an idea for a business card, took it off and sent it off. Then I went about my business, because at that time I was preparing for my diploma thesis on the production course at 1+1 media school. About a week later, I got a call from the HR manager saying that I was invited for an interview, and that's when I got excited. I was thrilled!

As for the team, it's great when colleagues can always help. If I fail at something or can't complete a task, I just come up and ask my colleagues to help me, to explain how to complete the task correctly. There is always a positive atmosphere in our team and it is very cool!

Impressions of the internship

I am extremely interested in the internship, because what we are taught at university in the form of theory, I can apply and hone in practice. I feel my importance to the "pros" when I transcribe videos, take comments, edit, search for news topics and write them up. I learn how to work with files, I am on location with the cameraman and the speaker - and this is all a new experience for me. The main thing for me now is to learn how to do everything our journalists can do.

Yes, I am very grateful to those who chose me and I understand that I came for a reason, as I feel inspired and motivated to move on. It's very nice when my name is in the credits or, like recently, a journalist posted my material on his Telegram channel, and it was quite unexpected, in particular, he signed me as the author of the material.

On inspiration and advice for future interns

First of all, everyone who works at Plus is a true professional, and when you are around them, it is inspiring! I can say that there are people in journalism who motivate me to work extremely strongly: Valentyna Dobrota, Natalia Nagorna, Andriy Tsaplienko and Olena Gushchyk.

I am incredibly happy to be able to learn and gain new experience at 1+1 media. It's great when such a large company gives young people the opportunity to develop and take their first steps in the profession. And then it all depends on me, my desire and skills, and I am sure that moving in the same spirit, I will be able to conquer absolutely all the peaks.

In my opinion, future trainees will be helped by hard work, perseverance, openness and, of course, the desire to learn new things, because without this, it is impossible to get anything.
