Chepovetska Lyudmila - Information producer (trainee) of the "Money" project

By the time they called me with the happy news that I had become an intern, I had 6 years of university behind me, a red master's degree, an hour of unemployment and long, long hours thinking about my own destiny. I faced the phenomenon of a quarter-life crisis, which the older generation considers laziness in disguise, and everyone who has faced it - an existential bottom. For me, my crisis became a turning point, from which the first attempts to rethink my previous life began, to leave behind an imposed opinion and start mastering a radically new profession, not connected with everything that was before.

That's how I got an internship at 1+1 media, recorded a video resume, sent an application and passed an interview. At the interview, I was terribly nervous and made a lot of random jokes. I still don't understand why they still called me back after that :)

Of course, the internship had its moments from the series of expectation/reality (as it turned out at the interns' meeting, I was not the only one), but here is a list of what you are guaranteed to receive along with the honorary title of intern:

1. Leaving the comfort zone. You get into an atmosphere never seen before. Even seemingly banal office work plays with new colors when the magic of television is created in this office. Daily challenges, stressful situations, constant communication with people, making new connections, acquiring new skills. Over time, your friends will start saying that they don't recognize you. This is normal.

2. Jumps above the head. Yes, you will be demanded unreal. But it will be unreal until you complete the assigned task and discover to your surprise what you are actually capable of. The eyes of your friends/acquaintances/relatives will be round in surprise after your answer to the question: "What did you do at work today?"

3. People are not like those you have met before. No, really, do you often see people whose eyes burn when they work? People who are ready to invest all their strength and energy in achieving the set goal? People who sacrifice precious sleep and peace of mind for the sake of their favorite work? Everything is like that here.

4. Work that everyone can see. Only God knows how I was waiting for the new season of the program "Money" so that I could happily point my finger at the screen and tell others that I had found this expert/hero/story.

And finally, I want to quote my fellow intern, who said everything you need to know about an internship at 1+1 media in one sentence: "Life is too short to regret something and too unpredictable to miss opportunities."
