Ukrainian Film School Next Monday, July 29, at 7:00 PM, an outdoor film lecture will take place at the Polyana VDNH cinema, organized by the Kyivstar TV film and television platform and the Ukrainian Film School. All interested people are invited to learn how to create a successful screenplay for movies.

The lecture will be given by Yaroslav Voytsekhek, curator of the screenwriting program at the Ukrainian Film School, and the author of scripts for several popular Ukrainian films, including the revenge story "Konotop Witch", the 3D animated fantasy film "Mavka. The Forest Song", the American-Ukrainian historical action film "Zakhar Berkut", the adventure fantasy film "The Stronghold", and many other successful Ukrainian movies. Entry is free.

Visitors will learn why some ideas become blockbusters and gain immense popularity with audiences, while others go unnoticed. Yaroslav Voytsekhek will explain why a screenplay is a simple formula with fixed elements and why, despite its simplicity, creating a good story for a movie is so challenging.

The event will be interesting both for those planning to study screenwriting and for those who simply love movies and want to know more about the filmmaking process. After the lecture, guests will have an opportunity to watch the film at the outdoor cinema on the Polyana VDNH, its partner is Kyivstar TV. Entry to the cinema is free, and to secure a seat, you can buy anything nearby in the food court area.

The outdoor cinema is equipped with a generator, so power outages will not disrupt the film screening. Despite the open-air location, the Polyana VDNH has several covered areas, making it comfortable in both sunny and rainy weather, ensuring that the film lecture will proceed regardless of the weather conditions.

We should notice that, recently, Kyivstar TV and the Ukrainian Film School launched a joint project — film lectures. This initiative aims to increase interest in Ukrainian cinematography and its creators. The first speaker of the film lectures was Ukrainian theater and film actor, and curator of the acting program at the Ukrainian Film School, Maksym Mykhailychenko, who discussed whether anyone can become an actor and how to achieve this.

The media partners of the Kyivstar TV film lectures are 1+1 media, tsn.ua, and Glavred, as well as the media outlet about the life of the capital, TyKyiv.
