Quality education, practical experience, partnerships: how 1+1 Media School operates today
In today's information environment, media literacy is fundamental for many professions. The ability to engage with audiences, convey meaning through communication, and work on camera is essential in both creative industries and government institutions.
1+1 Media School, a project of 1+1 Media, has been advancing media education in Ukraine for over 12 years by improving its quality and accessibility. Courses, developed by market experts, are grounded in real-world media cases.
Corporate training
Since the beginning of the war, 1+1 Media School has focused on corporate education programs. The school began to work systematically with public and private institutions. In particular, it conducted training in public speaking and communication skills for spokespersons and communications specialists of the State Emergency Service and the National Police of Ukraine.
The team also implemented comprehensive public speaking and communication training for 25 local government bodies. It collaborated with the IT Academy, organized a children's media school for the Kyiv Metropolitan School of Design, and conducted training for Danone and Carlsberg Ukraine.
These programs focus on effective communication, public speaking, and audience engagement in crises and high-stakes situations. This focus responds to present-day demands: media literacy now serves as a tool for self-realization and is a key component of security, trust, and social stability.
Results for 2025
In 2025, 1+1 Media School implemented 11 courses across 23 streams, enrolling 278 students. Key achievements included the successful integration of practical work, mentorship from industry professionals, and alignment of training with current media market needs.

Throughout the year, the media school offered courses in speech, improvisation, acting, dubbing, producing, presenting, content creation, journalism, and editing. The school also ran children's programs—"Hosting" and "Children's Dubbing"—to introduce kids to media professions.
Educational and social projects
In addition to training courses, in 2025, 1+1 Media School actively participated in educational and social initiatives, expanding its presence in the professional environment.
In particular, the team took part in the “Educational Dialogues” project of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2025, organized by the Osvitoria public union. As part of the project, a series of off-site educational master classes on public speaking for teachers was held by media school speakers in four cities in Ukraine.
Throughout the year, 1+1 Media School participated in several key events. These included the All-Ukrainian Creative Youth Festival Creative Hub at Igor Sikorsky KPI, Career Festival at VDNG, HR Wisdom Summit, and the Arsenal of Ideas festival, Different Together. The school team presented a board game for children, "The ABCs of Television," which teaches TV language and introduces new professions.

Social initiatives were also a focus. As part of the 1+1 media project “Make a Dream Come True,” the media school and the Ivan Franko National Theater organized a special acting workshop for teenagers who lost their parents in the war. Tetyana Krystal, an actress and coach at the school, led a masterclass on speech techniques.
1+1 media school joined the HIT project—a safe online educational space for teenagers aged 14–18 with disabilities. This project helps teens shoot videos, develop blogs, and join the inclusive TikTok community.
