1+1 Media team wins three awards at the SBC Ukraine Awards 2024 sports marketing prize
On December 15, Kyiv hosted the first sports marketing award ceremony - SBC Ukraine Awards 2024. Leading Ukrainian athletes, coaches, journalists, and projects competed for the top spot in more than 20 nominations.
Thus, the best social initiative was the Aerial Reconnaissance League 3.0, which 1+1 Media implemented with the Come Back Alive Foundation and the Ukrainian Premier League. This initiative raised funds for specially equipped UAS control centers during football matches. We raised UAH 50,751,958 and provided 14 units with additional and improved control points. "It was an incredible partnership, not just a fundraiser, but a multi-platform project involving many people. We are proud of this award and that such social activities are a priority at 1+1 Media. We will continue implementing various good initiatives to support people who need it. Many thanks to the SBC Ukraine Awards 2024 organizers, especially Oleksiy Braha. Such events are extremely valuable and move the industry forward," said Danylo Shchestyuk, Head of Digital Projects at 1+1 Media.
Furthermore, Volodymyr Zverov, host of Zverov Pro Football program, was named Sports Blogger-Journalist of the Year.
"This award means that there is a demand for a sports product. It's nice to receive it because I think there is a lot of competition in our industry today. And this is what pushes us to move forward. Therefore, this award will be an incentive to work harder and claim new achievements in the new season," commented Volodymyr after receiving the award.
Ihor Tsyhanik, commentator and host of the Tsyhanik Live project, was also recognized as the best sports journalist of the year.
"Journalistic work does not require recognition. You just have to do it. But in any case, such awards motivate you to develop, move on, and think about some new projects. It's very cool," Ihor emphasized.
The winners were determined by a professional jury of more than 60 representatives of sports, business, marketing, and media. In addition to the main nominations, the best cases and projects, according to the Sport & Business Club, were awarded special prizes.
