1+1 media's comment regarding access to the group's channels in Severodonetsk

On April 30, 2021, the owner of Merezha Lanet LLC, Victor Mazur, in a comment to the Detektor Media publication , announced that he "revoked his agreement regarding Severodonetsk with 1+1": "As I said, we will not sign the Severodonetsk contract on the old terms. We have withdrawn the agreement with "1+1". It was a technical error by our employee."

On May 6, the 1+1 media group received a letter from "Lanet" LLC by e-mail with the relevant content and a request to return the draft contract, which was sent by courier to the address of the media holding. In response, 1+1 media informed the provider that all the terms of the License Agreement on the grant of a non-exclusive adjacent right dated April 19, 2021 were accepted and agreed to by him, which is confirmed by the signature of the Director of Lanet Network LLC, Mr. Marian Ivasyuk. The text of the contract and readiness to sign it under current conditions was sent and confirmed by Dmytro Ganzenko, an employee of Merezha Lanet LLC, in an email with an employee of 1+1 media. Therefore, there is no question of a "technical error" of the imaginary employee of the provider.

Both copies of the contract have already been signed by the 1+1 media group, that is, the contract is concluded. In this regard, it is impossible to return unsigned copies of the contract. With this in mind, the media holding sent a copy of the concluded License Agreement on the grant of a non-exclusive adjacent right dated April 19, 2021 to the address of "Lanet" LLC. 1+1 media would like to remind you that the procedure for changing and terminating business contracts is determined by the legislation of Ukraine.

We also consider it necessary to emphasize once again that turning off Ukrainian TV channels in the city of Severodonetsk, which is the administrative center of the Luhansk region, as well as one of the largest and most important cities of the Luhansk region, which is located on the territory of the OOS, 50 kilometers from the center of hostilities, threatens the national safety and security of the information space.

Therefore, 1+1 media once again calls on the provider not to resort to manipulation, especially on the topic of national information security, and to be consistent in its actions.

We inform the residents of Severodonetsk that 1+1 media currently does not intend to stop broadcasting the group's TV channels for the duration of the contract until December 31, 2021.
