Blood Saves Lives: Ukrainian gymnast Victoria Onoprienko launched an auction to help the military in the Telethon special.

On August 24, during the special broadcast of the national telethon “United News” dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine, gymnast, European champion, World Championship medalist, finalist of the Tokyo Olympics, international master of sports Victoria Onoprienko launched an auction to help the military

In a joint broadcast with Marichka Padalko, anchor of 1+1 Marathon and TSN, Viktoriia said she wanted to help close the Solomianski Kotyky charity fund fundraising for blood storage and transfusion sets. To do this, the Ukrainian athlete, Marichka Padalko, and the TSN team will raffle off her costume, which has exceptional value for her and has helped her win many significant victories for Ukraine.

"It was made during the big war. In it, I fought with myself many times before going out on the carpet as I received news of the loss of my dear ones in the war, but I went out, fought, and won. I won many important victories for Ukraine in this suit. In this suit, I won gold at the European Championships and a license for the Olympic Games. It is charged for victory. It has been tested more than once. That's why I want the suit to continue its life. Let the funds raised during the raffle help our defenders," said Viktoriia Onopriienko.

To enter the drawing for the symbolic costume of the World Cup stage winner and runner-up, you need to make a charitable donation of at least UAH 200 to a particular collection jar of Victoria at this link from August 24 to August 31 (you must indicate your current phone number in the payment details).

The more donations, the more chances to win a symbolic prize with the champion's signature. For the largest donation, Victoria will personally meet with the benefactor or benefactors, whether it is a corporate or club donation, and conduct a training session.

Solomianski Kotyky will also raffle off a certificate for first aid training among all fundraisers' donors.

“Vika is a great example of hard work and dedication to her job and country. Even though her family lost relatives in the war and was separated from her father, who went to defend us from the first days of the full-scale invasion, she found the strength to train and get an Olympic license for Ukraine. Although Vika suffered a professional tragedy and was not included in the national team, she did not give up on life and channeled her energy into helping others,” added Marichka Padalko.

The winners will be announced next Saturday, August 31, during the “United News” broadcast from the 1+1 Marathon editorial team. All the funds raised will be used to purchase equipment that will help the 5th Tank Brigade to transfuse blood at the pre-hospital stage. In particular, the foundation will supply the following: refrigerators for blood storage, portable and flow heaters, transfusion systems, blood bags, infection tests, blood group tests, and storage containers.

“Whole blood is truly irreplaceable at the front. Our task is to increase the use of blood in the army so that medical officers can save the lives of our defenders even more effectively. We provide blood transfusion equipment and consult and support units that transfuse blood at the pre-hospital stage. The soldiers of the mechanized battalion of the 5th separate tank brigade are just beginning this journey, and together we will help them. Your donations for blood save lives!” said Andrii Yerofeyev, Executive Director of the Foundation.

If they raise more money, the organizers say the funds will be used to purchase similar equipment for other units.
