In russia, people burn "bonfires" in their yards to survive: TSN journalist ironically tells how russians freeze to death

The cities ofrussia are facing a collapse - the worn-out infrastructure cannot withstand the frost and people are left without heating and water. To survive, they light fires in their yards.

This was discussed in a new episode of the Radical Views Show project on the TSN YouTube channel by TSN correspondent Ivan Petrychak.

"God definitely has a sense of humour. Because not so long ago (the russians - ed.) were smiling with their own mouths at the mere thought of destroying Ukrainian infrastructure in the middle of winter," said Ivan Petrychak.

In the Moscow suburbs alone, residents of hundreds of apartment buildings were left without heating.

"I suppose it would be easier for russians to endure the cold if a NATO country was the first to freeze. Finland, for example. This year, they set a record for cold weather - -42 degrees Celsius. But there are no reports of burst pipes there. But in the Moscow region, there are already 12 cities with heating problems," the correspondent says.

In the russian city of Novosibirsk, there are more than 120 houses without heating. And the pipes are supplied with brown water.

Hospitals are also freezing. In some places, cancer patients are forced to sleep in their clothes under two blankets - ice is growing even on the windows.

"On the eve of a 'special military operation' on the territory of a foreign country, the russians should have conducted a 'special housing and communal operation' on the territory of their own country," Ivan Petrychak said.

According to Russian urbanists, the deterioration of pipes there reaches 60-70%, and in some places - 100%.
