"Don't throw it away! Dispose!"

If you have already used fluorescent lamps, batteries, used office equipment at home - do not throw them in the trash! Used fluorescent lamps contain a toxic substance of the first class of danger - mercury. If you multiply the population of Ukraine by the number of lamps used by a Ukrainian at home, then more than 500 kilograms of mercury end up in landfills every year. At the same time, only one gram of it, which got into the environment, is capable of causing pollution (exceeding the maximum permissible concentration levels) of more than 3.3 million cubic meters of air or 200 thousand cubic meters of water. The danger is also that mercury accumulates in the organs of people and animals forever.
