Specially for TV channel 1+1 Svyatoslav Vakarchuk talked about the concert of OE "And everything will be fine"

Already today, April 24 at 21:00, on the leading TV channels and online platforms of Ukraine, as well as in 15 other countries of the world, there will be a television broadcast of the charity concert "Ocean Elsa" entitled "And everything will be fine" , filmed at the metro station of the capital " Golden Gate".

Before, during and after the telecast of the concert , a special website will be used to collect funds at the expense of the charity fund "Tvoya opora" to help children affected by the Russian war in Ukraine. You can also make a donation via SMS by sending a message with any text to the number 88000 and UAH 20 will be sent from your mobile account (for Kyivstar, Vodafone and lifecell prepaid subscribers).

Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, the leader of the OE band, told the details about the project and called on Ukrainians to unite around the topic of helping children.

The purpose of the OE charity concert "And everything will be fine" is to help Ukrainian children who suffered from the Russian war in Ukraine. What goals do you set for yourself when organizing an event? What amount would you like to raise?

I can't talk about amounts. Money is a delicate and individual thing. There is no amount that is not enough. You know that even today the global losses that Ukraine suffered due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation are estimated at hundreds of billions of dollars. It is clear that restoration will not be carried out with Ukrainian money. First of all, with the money of the aggressor, who will be forced to answer. Therefore, this fundraising is primarily a manifestation of solidarity. This is a manifestation of the fact that all of us together in a difficult situation help those who need it. Therefore, what will be, will be. The more, the better.

Why was such a location chosen for the concert — the Kyiv metro? What symbolism do you see in this?

First of all, these are the times that we are forced to perform in the only more or less safe place where such a charity concert can be held. Recently, I performed in the Kharkiv subway, where people around me actually lived in carriages. This is a very painful feeling. Secondly, Golden Gate is a unique metro station. Many times recognized as one of the most beautiful in the world. And it is located in a sacred place for all of Ukraine.

Tell us about the songs that will be performed at the concert. What is the leitmotif of this event?

We tried not to include too fun and playful songs. That would be inappropriate. The audience asked us to play "Green Eyes", but we will play this composition already after our Victory. But, frankly speaking, I didn't want to turn the concert into longing, sadness. After all, together with the memory and respect that we give to those who are no longer with us, we must give emotion to those who continue to live - the next generations, our children. That's why we called the concert "And everything will be fine."

How good should it be for Ukraine? Share your thoughts

I hope that the song "Everything will be fine" will be prophetic. We will defeat the enemy who came to our land and is now destroying it, our people, children (!!). And to win is to return one's lands, and then restore and serve the country. And to leave an eternal memory for the people who died.

In Ukraine, the charity concert "And everything will be fine" will be broadcast by all TV channels that broadcast the "Edyny Novyni" marathon, including 1+1, ICTV, UA:PERSHY, Ukraine, Inter, Rada, Ukraine 24, as well as TV channels TET, 2+ 2, UA: KULTURA, STB and all regional channels of the Public Broadcaster, Indigo, Novy and M1. The broadcasters also include online television platforms, including Kyivstar TV. Viewers from all over the world can also join the viewing on Digital — on YouTube channel 1+ 1 . Broadcasts are also planned in the following countries: Croatia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Spain, Estonia, Georgia, Moldova and others.

Sviatoslav Vakarchuk and the band "Ocean Elzy", the companies 1+1 media and Kyivstar are the initiators of the charity concert. The event is implemented by 1+1 media with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Kyiv City State Administration.
