Three days of music and kindness: How Atlas Festival brought together celebs, thousands of Ukrainians, and made the dreams of children of heroes come true.
The large-scale Atlas Festival recently took place in Kyiv.
This year, the festival celebrated its 10th anniversary, bringing together over 100 Ukrainian and international artists and raising over UAH 106,000,000 to protect the Ukrainian sky. Three eventful days were shared with friends of Atlas, 1+1 Media, 1+1 Ukraine, and TET, who provided media support for the event, captivated the audience with their interactive activities, and touched hearts with their charitable efforts.
The teams of 1+1 Media and Atlas Festival joined forces to make the dreams of Ukrainian children who lost their parents in the war come true. The star assistants of the "Make a Dream Come True" project were YAKTAK, Parfeniuk, Serhiy Zhadan, and Serhiy Tanchynets. The performers personally talked with the children of the Children of Heroes Foundation, who are united by difficult life stories.
The meeting with singer YAKTAK left no one indifferent. It was attended by Iryna and Taras Semenyuk, whose father is missing in action, and Larysa Yustymenko, whose father was killed in the Mykolaiv region in July 2022. Anastasia Kvasnevskaya's father was also in the most dangerous areas of the Avdiivka direction, but he was killed in 2017.
Sofia Butilyuk and Artem Ostapenko's wish came true thanks to the singer Parfeniuk, whom they had long dreamed of seeing live. The children's parents were killed while on combat duty in 2022.
Oleksandra Orel had the opportunity to talk and take a photo with her favorite Serhiy Tanchynets, the lead singer of the band BEZ OBMEZHEN. She lost contact with her father on March 1, 2022. Later, the family learned that he was in the hospital, but he could not be saved.
The life of another girl, Daryna Serputko, was also changed in February 2024. Her father was killed in the Kharkiv region. Since then, she has found solace in the music of the band Zhadan i Sobaky, so during the autograph session, she managed to get the autograph she wanted from Serhiy Zhadan. Watch the themed video on the official 1+1 Media pages on Instagram and Facebook to see how it was.
In addition, 1+1 prepared a special photo zone for the channel's 30th anniversary — "30 Years. You Are Not Alone." The TV channel's team presented exclusive archive photos of presenters and projects associated with modern Ukrainian TV. To be inspired and remember the brightest moments in the history of 1+1, which developed in unison with the fate of the country, the following guests visited the special location: 1+1 presenters Ruslan Senichkin, Nelya Shovkoplyas, Natalia Ostrovskaya, Solomiya Vitvitska, Svyatoslav Hrynchuk, TSN war correspondent Natalia Nahorna, actress Anastasia Tsymbalaru, indie pop band Tember Blanche, and thousands of festival guests. The hosts of "Breakfast with 1+1," Nelya Shovkoplyas and Ruslan Senichkin, also held an interactive event on the Main Stage from the country's leading television quiz show, "Club 1%." Ten thousand people had the opportunity to participate in the popular game and answer four questions in "Club 1%" format. One of the riddles was about the festival's headliner, the band Boombox. Nelia, who is also a mentor for the "Make a Dream Come True" initiative, improvised the national anthem during the air raid siren to urge visitors to prioritize their safety and reassure them that everything would be fine in Ukraine.
TET also added to the extensive collection of donations with various activities. For a donation, anyone could create their perfect T-shirt using the festival and TV channel's branding and bright colors. Instant tattoos helped festival-goers show their love for life, and a photo zone allowed them to capture and preserve moments of joy at the festival. The hosts of "Closer to the Stars," mentors of the "Make a Dream Come True" project Natalia Solonik and Nikita Dobrynin, who were on the Main Stage on July 20, fueled interest in the artists' performances.
