Unique Cossack estate to be restored: Akim Halimov's large fundraiser for emergency repairs of Pokorshchyna estate continues.

Akim Halimov, producer of 1+1 Media and creator of the Real History project, initiated a fundraiser to restore a unique historical monument—the Pokorshchyna Cossack estate in Chernihiv Region—together with the Blyskavka Charitable Foundation.

The initiative was launched after the Real History team visited the estate and conducted a survey among the YouTube channel's viewers, "Is it time to raise money for the restoration of the historic site?" More than 80% of respondents emphasized that society must do everything to preserve our history.

"Together with a team of restoration architects, the Blyskavka Charitable Foundation, and local authorities, we will restore Pokorshchyna, an incredible estate in Kozelets that is associated with three Cossack families: Razumovsky, Darahan, and Galagan. This estate is an incredible monument that tells and preserves the little-known history of the Cossack elite. This is something our children should see. Therefore, I urge you to join the fundraising, as this is a great opportunity to join the preservation of Ukrainian history," Akim Halimov said in one of his video messages.

The campaign's first goal is to raise UAH 3,000,000 for emergency repairs. These funds will save the building from destruction, protect the estate from water, build a roof, and strengthen the foundations.

"Our history, our country is in our hands. Closing this fundraising as soon as possible is important because we must perform emergency repairs before the cold weather sets in. I am grateful to everyone who will donate," added Akim Halimov.

Furthermore, last week, Akim Halimov's team and the Blyskavka Charitable Foundation initiated a clean-up day as one of the stages of the estate's restoration. Thus, architects-restorers, 1+1 Media employees, and volunteers joined in cleaning the territory of the Cossack estate. You can learn more about this in the video at this link.

As a reminder, Pokorshchyna is the oldest surviving manor complex on the Left Bank of Ukraine, over 250 years old. It is located on the outskirts of Kozelets, wherein, in the 18th century, the family of Kyrylo Rozumovsky, Hetman of the Zaporozhian Host, bought it and welcomed guests. However, with the advent of the Soviet Union, nothing remained of the estate.
