
All-Ukrainian veterans' competitions "Strong Spirits Games" were held in Bukovel
The All-Ukrainian Strong Spirits Games veterans' competitions were held on the territory of the Bukovel tourist complex, organized by the Strongman Federation of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and with the assistance of the Ivano-Frankivsk OVA.
220 veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war took part in the tournament. The winners were included in the National Team, which will represent Ukraine at the international competitions "Strong Spirits Games - 2025".
In the season finale, the participants competed in individual events in all 9 adaptive sports disciplines in which they competed this year: bench press (60, 100 kg and maximum among men, 30 and 50 kg among women), rowing on the "Concept-2" simulator for 100 meters and in 100 seconds, air bike, snatch and kettlebell press weighing 16 and 24 kg.
As one of the organizers of the competition, People's Deputy and Honorary President of the Strongman Federation of Ukraine Vasyl Virastyuk, noted, the main goal is to strengthen the patriotic spirit in society by involving as many veterans, servicemen and representatives of law enforcement agencies who were injured, and their family members, in sports.
In turn, Dmytro Lubinets, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, who was an honorary guest of the competition, stated that the issue of protecting the rights of veterans is under increased control.
The main media partner of the competition was 1+1 media together with the UNIAN news agency and the 2+2 TV channel. The general partner of the 2025 competition season is the Bukovel tourist complex.
